The Philippine Embassy in Jakarta participated in the 21st Working Group on Marine and Coastal Management and the 35th Workshop on Managing Potential Conflict in the South China Sea, held in Jakarta on 28โ€“29 September 2026, as part of its observance of the 2026 Maritime and Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month (MANA Mo).

Deputy Chief of Mission Gonaranao B. Musor and Second Secretary Sheila Mae A. Briones represented the Embassy, together with other PH delegates who either attended onsite or virtually.

The two-day workshop brought together participants from East and Southeast Asia to exchange views and strengthen regional cooperation. Discussions covered shared maritime and coastal challenges, including environmental management, spatial planning, ocean governance, and coastal resilience.

The workshop also reaffirmed the importance of continued dialogue and cooperation towards a peaceful, stable, and sustainable South China Sea. END
