King’s College London Singhasari marked an important milestone with the launch of two new postgraduate programmes, the MSc Advanced Cyber Security and the LLM Digital Law, which are set to welcome their first students in September 2027.

The event was attended by Dr. (H.C.) Dra. Hj. Khofifah Indar Parawansa, M.Si., Governor of East Java, alongside representatives from King’s College London, government, education, industry, and the Singhasari SEZ ecosystem.

The launch reflects King’s commitment to developing future leaders and professionals equipped to navigate the opportunities and challenges of rapid digital transformation. Through its presence at Singhasari SEZ, King’s College London continues to contribute to the development of high-level talent in Indonesia while strengthening connections between academia, government, and industry.

The occasion also marked the next phase of the MSc Digital Economies and MA Digital Innovation & Leadership programmes, alongside the beginning of the 2026–2027 academic year.

The event brought together the King’s College London and Singhasari SEZ communities to celebrate the progress achieved through the partnership and look ahead to its next phase in advancing digital capability, innovation, education, and talent development in Indonesia.

Singhasari SEZ received recognition from the East Java Provincial Government and Bank Indonesia East Java Representative Office at the closing of the East Java Investment Forum (EJIF) 2026, following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM Bangalore).

The partnership with one of India’s leading management institutions marks a strategic step in strengthening Singhasari SEZ’s ecosystem for education, research, and world-class digital talent development in East Java.

The recognition was presented by the Vice Governor of East Java, accompanied by the Regional Secretary of East Java, Head of Bank Indonesia East Java Representative Office, and Head of OJK East Java, to the Corporate Secretary of PT Intelegensia Grahatama, the management entity of Singhasari SEZ.

Singhasari SEZ extends its appreciation to the East Java Provincial Government, Bank Indonesia East Java Representative Office, OJK East Java, and all partners and stakeholders for their continued trust and collaboration.

Kawasan Ekonomi Khusus Singhasari kembali berpartisipasi dalam East Java Investment Forum (EJIF) 2026, yang diselenggarakan oleh Bank Indonesia Kantor Perwakilan Jawa Timur bersama Pemerintah Provinsi Jawa Timur pada 1–2 Oktober 2026.

Mengusung tema “Empowering East Java as Indonesia’s New Growth Engine through Strategic and Sustainable Investment”, KEK Singhasari memperkenalkan pilar strategis pengembangan kawasan, meliputi ekosistem digital dan Artificial Intelligence (AI), pusat pendidikan dan teknologi, serta peluang investasi berbasis pembangunan berkelanjutan.

Melalui pameran, business matching, dan paparan proyek investasi dalam sesi many-to-many meeting, KEK Singhasari memaparkan kesiapan Master Plan kawasan, fasilitas insentif fiskal dan non-fiskal, serta berbagai peluang kolaborasi bagi calon investor lokal maupun mancanegara.

Malang, 30 September 2026 - We were honoured to welcome senior representatives from LPDP, the National Council for Special Economic Zones, the Cabinet Support Secretariat (Setdukkab), and LLDIKTI to King’s College London Singhasari, where they were received by Professor Simon Tanner, King’s Rector in Indonesia and Southeast Asia.

The occasion marked several important milestones for King’s Singhasari, including welcoming the fourth cohort of MSc Digital Economies and the first cohort of MA Digital Futures, while looking ahead to the planned launch of LLM Digital Law and MSc Advanced Cyber Security in September 2027.

The programme brought together students, government representatives and institutional stakeholders for strategic discussions, student engagement and reflections on the continued collaboration supporting the development of international postgraduate education in Indonesia.

Through King’s Singhasari, Singhasari SEZ continues to strengthen its role as an ecosystem for education, digital talent development and international collaboration, supporting Indonesia’s priorities in digital capability, innovation and human capital development.

Malang, 16 September 2026 - KEK Singhasari menerima kunjungan Dr. Sri Untari Bisowarno, M.AP., Ketua Komisi E DPRD Jawa Timur sekaligus Ketua Koperasi SBW, untuk berdiskusi mengenai penguatan pemberdayaan perempuan, pengembangan koperasi, dan industri kreatif.

Pertemuan ini menjadi ruang untuk bertukar perspektif mengenai peran perempuan dalam pengembangan ekonomi, penguatan koperasi sebagai bagian dari ekosistem usaha, serta potensi industri kreatif dalam mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi daerah.

Singhasari SEZ welcomed the Director of Enterprise Singapore for a site visit to explore opportunities for collaboration between Singhasari SEZ and Singapore.

The visit brought together representatives from Enterprise Singapore, including Jing Jun Lim, Director, Southeast Asia; Allison Tan, Deputy Director, Southeast Asia; Daryl Thio, Regional Director, Indonesia; Zeng Kai Heng, Senior Development Partner, Southeast Asia; and Ivan Iskandar, Senior Business Development Manager, Indonesia.

The delegation met with the Singhasari SEZ leadership team to exchange perspectives on the development of the zone and its growing ecosystem across education, technology, business, and the creative economy.

The discussion also explored potential areas of collaboration with Singapore, with a focus on strengthening connections, exchanging expertise, and creating opportunities for future partnerships between institutions, businesses, and talent.
