It's a boy! 🐐💙
A bouncing male Boer kid was born at the Likasi breeding farm in Malawi, marking the first birth in MASHAV's national goat genetic improvement project. Mother and kid are doing well, and the proud father can be seen as well.
Earlier this year, a field visit to Likasi confirmed pregnancies at a conception rate of approximately 70%, following artificial insemination with genetic material imported from South Africa.
The project is implemented together with the Malawi Ministry of Agriculture and Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources.

Water security starts with practical knowledge.
Twenty-three professionals from Honduras' Ministry of Agriculture recently completed a MASHAV-led workshop focused on water resource management, water storage, efficient fertilizer use, and plant nutrition.
Led by MASHAV agronomist Emilia Kushner, the workshop brought together professionals working to strengthen water security and agricultural sustainability through hands-on solutions.
Israeli Ambassador Nadav Goren accompanied Honduras' Vice Minister of Agriculture on field activities, witnessing firsthand the commitment of the participants.
Another example of cooperation between Israel and Honduras through professional exchange and capacity building.
