The tunnel network was constructed within a civilian area at a location that provides operational control over the Galilee Panhandle region, only 6 kilometers from Metula.

Master Sergeant (Res.) Haim, from Tzur Natan, a regional defense soldier in the 8881st Battalion of the Ephraim Brigade, fell in the terror attack in the area of Tzur Natan.
