Twinning Project experts from Europe and Israel have discussed the report on the broadcasting regulation and the new platform with the DG of the Israeli MoC.

Broadband speeds in Israel and EU countries have withstood a surge in demand during the lock down - despite rising demand from home working, online lessons and TV streaming.

"Twinning Project experts have maintained contacts with MoC even in this COVID-19 emergency phase making use of video conference and documents exchange. The COVID-19 quarantine measures taken as a result of the outbreak have increased the use of telecommunications networks, highlighting their importance as an essential infrastructure to provide communications services like smart working and streaming for people remaining at home. With this respect, experts from MoC and AGCOM have exchanged information and views about the main regulatory measures and initiatives taken in their Countries for ensuring the highest quality for the provision of telecommunication networks and services."

The New employees of the Israeli Ministry of Communications are attending "Basic Elements of Communication" course. The Twinning Project's RTA is presenting "The European Regulatory Framework for Electronic Communications".

The Director General of the Israeli Ministry of Communications is meeting with experts from Italy, Germany, Latvia and Hungary to discuss General Authorization in Telecommunications
