(DSPG) was established in 2008 as an executive branch of the Israeli Government and the Ministry of Tourism, in the area known as the Dead Sea Land.

The International Mediterranean Tourism Market exposition has headed South!
The Dead Sea Preservation Government Company CEO Shimon (Shimi) Daniel has presented yesterday, together with Ministry of Tourism CEO Amir Halevi, the chosen strategy for the developing of the Negev as Israel’s next leading global tourism brand.
Infrastructure development and tourism products in the Negev will allow for seasonal and geographic distribution, increasing incoming tourism, while reaching Israel’s social-economic goals in the South.
As part of the development of the South as a complete touristic product, the company is advancing the planning and ex*****on of several projects, which correspond with the touristic product, and which its statutory, planning and budgetary availability, enable its immediate advancing.

Sigalit Landau an artist together with her partner, the photographer Yotam Frum, created "The Bride of the Dead": Landau invested a black replica of a Hasidic wedding dress from the play 'Dibuk' in the depths of the Dead Sea. Over time, the salts in the water accumulated and crystallized on the dress, changing its color to white. Frum documented the process in a series of underwater photographs presented at museums around the world.
