Ambassador Xiao Junzheng Visited
Maccabi Healthcare Services

On June 7, 2026, Ambassador Xiao Junzheng led a delegation to visit Maccabi, Israel’s second-largest healthcare services.

During the visit, the delegation met with Maccabi Chief Executive Officer Dadon Levy and gained a comprehensive understanding of Israel’s healthcare system.

The two sides exchanged views on promoting exchanges and innovation cooperation between China and Israel in the healthcare and medical sectors for the benefit of both peoples.

Minister Counselor Qin Weidong of the Chinese Embassy, Maccabi’s Chief Innovation and Research Officer Katz, along with other representatives from both sides, attended the meeting.

On 3 June, Ambassador Xiao Junzheng met with Speaker Amir Ohana of the Knesset. They agreed that inter-parliamentary exchanges play an important role in China-Israel relations, and that the legislative bodies of the two countries should strengthen dialogue and cooperation to further advance the bilateral ties.
Speaker Ohana reiterated the Knesset’s commitment to the one-China policy and emphasized that the Knesset’s position on the Taiwan question remains unchanged. He noted that certain personal remarks or actions by individual MKs do not represent the policy of the Knesset.

On 26 May, Ambassador Xiao Junzheng met with Israeli President יצחק הרצוג - Isaac Herzog . They exchanged views on China-Israel bilateral relations and practical cooperation.
President Herzog expressed his special affection for China, referring with familiarity to Chinese cities such as Kaifeng and Harbin, which symbolize the historic links between the Chinese and Jewish peoples.
He spoke warmly of his previous interactions with President Xi Jinping and expressed great interest in the books The Governance of China.
President Herzog and Ambassador Xiao also looked through the Chinese edition of Living History, the memoir of President Herzog’s father, Chaim Herzog, who was the first Israeli president to visit China.
