International Relations Tel Aviv - Yafo Municipality We lead and participate in calls of proposals for EU funds.

Tel Aviv - Yafo has ties, joint projects, and best practice (know-how) exchange programs with dozens of cities worldwide. Most foreign embassies and many international organizations are located in Tel Aviv - Yafo. International Relations is in charge of dealing with diplomatic and international interactions including the hosting of formal and professional delegations in Tel Aviv - Yafo. Professional study tours abroad for municpal representatives are planned with the help of our global partners.

Die arabisch-hebräische Schule in Tel Aviv-Yafo

„Kul’na Jachad“ (arabisch und hebräisch = Gemeinschaft) heißt die erste bilinguale sechsjährige Grundschule in Tel Aviv. Sie besteht seit sechs Jahren und geht auf die Initiative der Eltern des Kölner Friedenskindergartens zurück. Sie wird zu je 50 % von arabischen und jüdischen Kindern besucht.
Die Vorsitzende des Städtepartnerschaftsvereins Köln-Tel Aviv war bei ihrem Besuch am 31.12.23 beeindruckt vom Konzept und dem kooperativen Miteinander von Kollegium und Schülern. Zum schulischen Pflichtprogramm gehören arabisch und hebräisch. Erste Fremdsprache ist Englisch. Laut Schulleiter Gidi gab es keinerlei Störungen innerhalb der Schulgemeinde nach dem Überfall der Hamas auf Israel am 7. Oktober. Aufgrund des dauernden Raketenbeschusses aus Gaza war die Schule zunächst für einige Wochen geschlossen. Aber auch danach mussten Schüler und Schülerinnen einige Male die Schutzräume aufsuchen. Die Schüler Emanuel und Rita, beide 10 Jahre alt, zeigten Monika Möller ihre Schule.
