Established in 1994 Bell and Bennett is the fruit of a deep and sincere urge of Mr.R.J.Vijaya Kumar to uplift the lot of the marginalized sections of society, especially that of the rural students. Bell and Bennett Director envisioned the dream of establishing a world class educational institution; a School that would mould and guide future generations of enlightened minds. On this unique occasio
n, I would like to extend our gratitude and thanks to all the role players especially the Director, Mr. Elizabeth, our Correspondent that have made it possible for the dream to become a reality. The journey has witnessed much dedication, commitment, team spirit and fortitude on the part of all the members of the institution through the years. At this juncture, I would like to make a glimpse into the history of our school in a nutshell. Sprouting up from humble beginning in the year 1994 in the outskirts of Addanki with 27 children of Kindergarten with a name ‘Little Angels’ within a short span of 8 years , rose to the level of one of the best educational Institutions in Addanki with about 700 students on roll. Later it was named Bell and Bennett School after two US missionaries Bro.Russel G Bell and Gary L Bennett. By the unconditional providence of God and support by well wishers it had classes up to X by the year 2002. The very year we were blessed with Town and Mandal First scoring ever record of 563 by Priyanka. A miraculous and outstanding result of that time. In the year 2003-04 we acquired recognition up to 7th class. In the year 2010-11 it was upgraded up to X class. True education is an ornament in times of prosperity and a refuge in times of adversity. According to this motto this temple of knowledge exclusively for rural children plays a pivotal role in extending quality education which is never a prey to present day attitude of money earning venture. .The consolidated effort put in by the entire school community was rewarded every year with academic excellence which made our institution stand different. I take this opportunity to say that our students are our greatest potential. From the very beginning they came flying the name of our school high by winning a lot of laurels in co-curriculars and extra curriculars along with outstanding academic results. Bell and bennett is a kind of school with an innovative vision in the field of education and personal excellence. I also hasten to congratulate our past student N.Subhashini who excelled every one fetching 572 out of 600 in the X class board examinations and stood first in Mandal and Town levels. Hearty congratulations Subhashini. I am extremely delighted to mention that last academic year too we could gain a good result with a 9.8 GPA by I. Lohitha who also stood first in the town. Congratulations Lohitha. World recognize the institutions by the achievements of its students. Bell and Bennett High School is a well-respected and successful school with a proven record of high academic standards. The academic excellence which they acquired here has helped many of our students to reach safe harbor. In the year 2009-10 in the AIEEE Test our alumni A.Tharun scored State 99th Rank in Sc category and secured a free seat in the reputed NIT Engineering college, Warrangal. I am also proud to state that in the year 2010-11 in the Eamcet Entrance Examination one of our alumni M.Ramanjaneya Reddy excelled with 282th rank and pursuing his career in a reputed Andhra medical college in Vizag. I am thrilled and happy to inform you about another excellence that has achieved by our alumni in the Junior Intermediate board examination last year. He has scored State Second rank with 467 out of 470. This year too we expect meticulous result which will be adding feathers to our cap with their spectacular grit and hard work. They really deserve our appreciation. Congrats dears. I am very glad to announce that one of our past students K.Vasanthi brought glory to our school by securing good rank in AIEEE and got admission in NIT Jalandhar and also got placement in L & T Company. Another alumnus who added fame to our school is B.Bharathi who got selection in IIIT for the first time from the Private institutions. Our budding stars outshined others in the extracurricular activities like essay writing, drawing, quiz, singing with their zeal and dedication. Our school stood in good position in the outdoor competitions. We secured a lot of a praise worthy laurels in various competitions. While striving to make students academically proficient we also try to mould them into responsible citizens of the future, conscious of their social obligations. To add to this, I am proud to say our bell and bennettians raised Rs.40,000 for the Bill Gates Challenge, a mission to eradicate polio which was the highest amount ever collected and donated by any schools in Addanki. It was an appreciable step taken by our students and they were felicitated by Rotary club of Singarakonda in a celebrated occasion. In important occasions, we donate clothes to widows, blankets to old, dress to preachers and arrange community feast with these people and tribals on important occasions. We also arrange awareness classes for youth, preachers and tribal people about sanitary and hygiene along with religious teaching. We provide cycles for preachers who go for religious services, adult education and literacy classes for poor tribal children during night. Until 5 years ago, our outgoing students of X class used to make a daily collection and fund for poor students every year helping them to pursue their education. Many at times, whenever required our students are ever ready to help the poor and needy. You can see it in the presentation. Not only the students but also the director is active in charitable services. Every year on New Year day, he donates dress to the poor and old. Whatever he teaches he puts into practice. We also fund for children who are orphans, semi orphans and socially and economically backward free schooling and boarding for the last 15 years. It is an opportunity for those children to acquire quality education who cannot even dream of. Many of the past students among them reached good position in their career. This year too we fund for a group of students who are complete orphans and semi orphans voluntarily without any external aid or support. The school takes special interest in celebrating all the National festivals to instill a feeling of communal harmony. They are always celebrated with pomp and show. It is really eye catching the performances by our kudos on the Annual day celebrations that is being conducted every year. It plays as a platform for the children to exhibit the skill and innate ability
We also conduct Social awareness programmes, memory enhancement camps, yoga and motivational classes whenever possible. Every year on Science Day we arrange SCIENCE FAIR to give our students a platform to exhibit their creativity. We also celebrate Fresher’s Day and fare well day every year to promote the feeling of togetherness, sharing and affection among the students. We have been conduction quiz contest for the past 12 years. But this year we are fortunate enough to move on to television. show is telecasted in 3 mandals consisting of 150 villages. The show is named Brain Storm Knowledge Hunt Quiz contest. True to its logo and name it is really a brain booster for all walks of people especially the student community. Within two episodes we got tremendous response from public. It proved the caliber and potentiality of management, staff and students. It would be selfish of me not to mention our staff. A team of hi-tech and genuinely dedicated staff are ever on the march to suffice the never-ending demands of the challenging and changing curriculum. I take this opportunity to thank all the staff members, both Teaching and Non-Teaching for their devoted and selfless service, towards the unquenchable student community. Finally, I have no doubt to tell and acknowledge here one thing that it is you the parents of this school are the back bone of our school. It is your support, co-operation and your contributions directly or indirectly helped our school grow and make this development. I take this opportunity to thank all parents and well wishers who have whole heartedly supported each and every activities and working of our school. I conclude my report with deep sense of gratitude and appreciation to our Director, correspondent, staff, students and parents. I pray that the Almighty to bless this institution, a centre of excellence in learning, good character, true knowledge and transforming our children to become “committed citizens for the country and for the Kingdom of God.
