The Tribal Welfare Department successfully organized the 𝐘𝐚𝐫𝐧 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐭 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐌𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐒𝐓 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 today at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan, Agartala.

The programme was graced by Hon’ble Chief Minister 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. (𝐃𝐫.) 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐤 𝐒𝐚𝐡𝐚 and Hon’ble Minister 𝐒𝐡𝐫𝐢 𝐁𝐢𝐤𝐚𝐬𝐡 𝐃𝐞𝐛𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐚.

The initiative aims to empower tribal artisans by strengthening livelihoods and to honour the academic achievements of meritorious ST students, encouraging them to strive for greater success in the future.

The O/o SDTWO, Amarpur, organized a Yarn Distribution Programme yesterday, March 11, at the Chellagangmukh Model School. All registered beneficiaries under the Amarpur RD Block received supplies to support their livelihoods and traditional craftsmanship.

The 𝟑𝟎-𝐝𝐚𝐲s 𝐒𝐮𝐛-𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩 𝐜𝐮𝐦 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐭 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 & 𝐀𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 concluded successfully today at Mukut Auditorium, Santirbazar.

The programme also included 𝐘𝐚𝐫𝐧 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐟 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫’𝐬 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧, aimed at strengthening the livelihoods of tribal artisans and promoting traditional weaving practices.

The closing ceremony was graced by the 𝐇𝐨𝐧’𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐌𝐋𝐀, 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐫𝐛𝐚𝐳𝐚𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐨𝐧’𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧, 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐫𝐛𝐚𝐳𝐚𝐫 𝐌𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥, and other distinguished dignitaries.

The initiative reflects the continued commitment of the Tribal Welfare Department, Government of Tripura towards empowering tribal women and preserving traditional craftsmanship.

Two 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐰𝐚𝐝𝐢 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞 (𝐀𝐖𝐂) 𝐚𝐭 𝐍𝐚𝐣𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐢 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐌–𝐉𝐀𝐍𝐌𝐀𝐍 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐞 was inaugurated by 𝐒𝐡𝐫𝐢 𝐒𝐮𝐤𝐥𝐚 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧 𝐍𝐨𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐚, 𝐇𝐨𝐧’𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐟𝐚𝐫𝐞 (𝐓𝐑𝐏 & 𝐏𝐓𝐆), 𝐂𝐨-𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 & 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬, 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐭. 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐚, in the presence of local representatives and officials.

The new facility will support nutrition, learning, and holistic development for young children and mothers in the area.
