With temperatures rising across many regions, heat waves can pose serious health risks. Protect yourself and your loved ones by following these simple precautions:

โ˜€๏ธ Avoid going outdoors during peak heat hours (12 PMโ€“3 PM).

Two health camps were organized by the Regional Research Institute of Homoeopathy, Agartala on 22/04/2026 and 23/04/2026 at Majlishpur and Sachindra Nagar colony villages of West Tripura under the project of Schedule Caste Sub - Plan (SCSP).

In these health camps doctors of RRI (H), Agartala distributed Homoeopathic wellness kits free of cost to the needy people of the local community. Along with this, a basic first aid training session was also conducted for the students of Netaji Subhash Progressive H/S School of Majlishpur Village of Tripura.

World Homoeopathy Day is observed annually on April 10 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. Christian Friedrich Samuel Hahnemann, the German physician who founded homoeopathy. The day highlights the contribution of this system of medicine to global health and promotes its holistic approach to treatment. The celebration highlighted the enduring relevance of homoeopathy in promoting holistic and patient-centered healthcare.

Officials, staffs of the institute gathered to discuss advancements, research findings, and the growing acceptance of homoeopathy in modern this era.

The Regional Research Institute of Homoeopathy, Agartala (A Peripheral Pharmacovigilance Centre) successfully conducted a One-Day Workshop on Pharmacovigilance on ASU&H Drugs on 30th March 2026 at the instituteโ€™s conference hall.

The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from healthcare professionals, teachers. researchers, patients aiming to enhance awareness and understanding of pharmacovigilance practices in ASU&H systems.

Eminent resource persons namely Dr. Chiranjib Bhattacharjee, Principal, Bir Bikram College of Pharmacy, Agartala; Prof. (Dr.) Santanu Mallik, Bharat Pharmaceutical Technology, Agartala; Dr. Swapan Paul, Associate Professor & Coordinator, IPvC, National Institute of Homoeopathy, Kolkata; Sh. Sayan Bhattacharjee, Pharmacovigilance Associate, Dept. of Pharmacology, TMC & Dr BRAM Teaching Hospital, Agartala shared their valuable insights on drug safety monitoring, adverse drug reaction reporting, and the importance of pharmacovigilance in ensuring patient safety.

Dr. Abhijit Chakma, Research Officer (H)/Scientist-2 Coordinator for Pharmacovigilance and Dr. Piyali Nath, JRF (H) has coordinated the program. The event provided a meaningful platform for knowledge exchange, interactive discussions, and capacity building among participants.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from around 200 homoeopathic doctors from across India, with a strong representation from Tripura. The programme served as a vibrant platform for knowledge exchange, professional development, and academic interaction.

Eminent resource persons from different parts of the country enriched the sessions with their insightful lectures, sharing the latest advancements and clinical experiences in homoeopathy.

The CME programme not only strengthened professional competencies but also fostered collaboration and learning among practitioners dedicated to advancing homoeopathic healthcare.

Two Scientists of Regional Research Institute of Homoeopathy, Agartala actively participated as resource persons in a Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme conducted by the State Ayush Mission, Tripura on 05.02.2026. The programme aimed at capacity building and updating clinical knowledge of AYUSH medical professionals in the state.

Dr. Ratan Chandra Shil, RO(H)/S-2, delivered an insightful lecture on Homoeopathic Management of Diabetes Mellitus, highlighting clinical approaches, individualized treatment strategies, and the role of homoeopathy in managing lifestyle disorders.

Dr. Abhijit Chakma, RO(H)/S-2, presented a lecture on Homoeopathic Management of Chronic Kidney Disease, focusing on holistic case management, evidence-based perspectives, and the scope of homoeopathy in chronic renal conditions. The sessions were well received by the participants and contributed meaningfully to academic exchange and professional enrichment.

The interview will be held on 17th & 18th February 2026 at RRI (H), Agartala. Eligible and interested candidates are invited to attend the interview as per the notified schedule to be part of homoeopathic research and contribute to ongoing and upcoming research initiatives.

An insightful awareness lecture on the PoSH Act was conducted on 16/01/2026, aimed at fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace for women. The session was expertly delivered by Dr. Papiya Chanda, RO (H)/S-1, who clearly explained the objectives, provisions, and responsibilities under the Act.

The lecture encouraged awareness, accountability, and zero tolerance towards harassment, leaving participants better informed and empowered. Dr. Ratan Chandra Shil, Officer In-charge of the institute and Dr. Abhijit Chakma, RO (H)/S-2 have also shared their views during the session.
