Swasthya Sakhi Didis of TRLM are being felicitated by the Honorable Governor of Tripura today for their outstanding contribution in health-related activities in the rural areas.

Swastha sakhi didis are community health volunteers under the Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission (TRLM) who act as grassroots health workers. They focus on maternal health, sanitation, nutrition, and disease prevention, supporting ANGANWADI centers and ASHA workers to improve health outreach and increase household income.

A remarkable example of rural entrepreneurship and women-led innovation has emerged from Moon Mushroom PG promoted by TRLM of Kalyanpur BMMU under Khowai DMMU, where SHG members have successfully cultivated Pink Oyster Mushrooms this year. 🍄✨

This achievement is the result of nearly two years of continuous experimentation, dedication, and hard work by the women members, who explored different and unique mushroom varieties with determination and enthusiasm. Their commitment to adopting innovative cultivation techniques has finally led to this successful breakthrough.

The group received regular technical guidance and institutional support from BMMU Kalyanpur and DMMU Khowai under Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission (TRLM), enabling them to strengthen their scientific cultivation practices and enhance their skills.

Despite facing several initial challenges, the SHG members remained focused on learning, adapting, and improving their production methods. Encouraged by the successful yield, the group is now planning to expand Pink Oyster Mushroom cultivation on a larger scale, creating sustainable livelihood opportunities and inspiring other SHGs across the region.

This success story highlights the transformative impact of SHG-led initiatives and TRLM’s continuous efforts towards promoting self-reliance, skill development, and sustainable livelihoods among rural women in Tripura. 🌱💪

MoU Signed Between The/Nudge Life Skills Foundation and TRLM

In a significant step towards strengthening livelihood opportunities and enhancing social impact initiatives, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission (TRLM) and The/Nudge Life Skills Foundation. This collaboration aims to provide technical support for reducing vulnerabilities in targeted blocks and districts, paving the way for sustainable development and improved community resilience.

The collaboration aims to work jointly toward uplifting vulnerable communities through sustainable livelihood opportunities, capacity building, skill enhancement, and inclusive development programs. The partnership is expected to further accelerate community empowerment efforts and contribute to long-term socio-economic development in Tripura.

Delegation Visits Tripura to Review the TRIPTI Project Implementation and Interact with Community Cadres

A distinguished delegation comprising Smt. Nita Kejrewal, IAS, ex-Joint Secretary RL, and Shri Charanjit Singh, IFS, former Additional Secretary, MoRD visited Tripura to view the implementation of initiatives under Project TRIPTI and TR Say of TRLM

During the visit, the delegation observed on-ground project activities and held interactions with community cadres and beneficiaries to understand the impact of the programs at the grassroots level. Discussions focused on livelihood enhancement, skill development, and community empowerment initiatives being implemented across the state.

The visit highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts in creating sustainable and inclusive development opportunities for vulnerable communities.

🌞 Empowering Rural Youths | A Proud DDU-GKY Success Story 🌞

A moment of pride and inspiration for Tripura!

30 trainees undergoing a 3-month training program in Solar PV Technician trade at New Direction Education Society, an empanelled PIA under DDU-GKY, have successfully secured placements at SunroofX Solar Energy Pvt.Ltd, Hyderabad.

The selected candidates will receive a CTC of ₹18,000 per month along with food and accommodation facilities. Their job responsibilities will include installation of Solar PV systems, panel mounting, maintenance, and other technical operations in the growing renewable energy sector. ☀️⚡

With dreams in their eyes and determination in their hearts, these young trainees have begun their journey from Agartala to build successful careers in the solar industry.

Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission through its PIAs continues to empower rural youths by providing livelihood opportunities and pathways to corporate careers, helping them shape a brighter future.

The Village Kettle Café, a fast-food cafeteria managed by dedicated SHG Didis of TRLM, is now welcoming visitors at Ashram Palli (T-point near the SE Office) on the Kumarghat–Kailashahar roadside under Kumarghat Block, Unakoti District.

Serving pure vegetarian snacks, tea, and refreshing delicacies from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, the café offers a peaceful ambience where visitors can relax and enjoy delicious homemade food served with warmth and care by the SHG members.

A visit to The Village Kettle Café promises both taste and satisfaction — truly a delightful stop for every traveler on the route.

A Virtual Conference meeting on achieving the national target of creating an additional 3.0 crore Lakhpati Didis by 2029 was held under the Chairmanship of the Joint Secretary, Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD), Government of India. Shri. Tarit Kanti Chakma, CEO, TRLM, along with other SMMU officials attended the meeting and discussed strategies, progress, and future action plans towards strengthening women-led livelihoods and economic empowerment across the country.

A field visit was conducted yesterday at Tirupati Cluster under the PEARL (Participatory Evaluation and Reflective Learning) framework, engaging interested SHG Didis to assess the progress and effectiveness of ongoing grassroots training initiatives.

The visit was graced by the presence of the respected BDO Madam, BMC, and CC. The initiative focused on ensuring quality implementation, strengthening community engagement, and identifying key areas for further improvement.

The Demonstration on learning of stakeholders Engagement training of Sarbajaya CLF EC members under Ambassa block started from today . This training will help the CLF members to deal with various stakeholders in fulfilling their goals of CLF in an effective manner under Dhalai District.

A review meeting with PIAs under Deen Dayal Upadhaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojna (DDU GKY) was held on 05-05-2026 under the chairmanship of CEO, TRLM Sri Tarit Kanti Chakma, IAS in presence of COO (skills), SMMs-DDU-GKY, TRLM to review the progress and future course of action. A total of 17 PIAs attended the meeting which was conducted in the Conference hall of SMMU, TRLM.
