Captain Nilesh Soni was a brave soldier of Indian army. He servered as a captain in Indian army and laid down in siachin glacier on 12th February 1987.
Captain Nilesh Soni was student of C N Vidhlayay ,Ambawadi Ahmedabad in standered 5 th in year 1971-72 .He joined Sainik School Balachadi, Jamanger Guajrat Roll No 796 form 1973 to 1980 . After passing NDA examination and completion of four year training he joined Indian Army as officer no IC -42063 K on 13 July 1984 in 62 , Filed Regiment in Artillery Division . He serve in Operational
/ War area from 13 May 84 to 15 th June 86 and finally posted at World Highest battle Field “ SIACHIN GLACIER ""at forward post at height of 20000 feet with his 11 soldiers on date 20 th September 1986 . He serve their for five month in extreme cold weather – 45 degree to – 55 degree centigrade temperature. On 12 th February 1987 Pakistani Army attract to capture his post in early morning at four o' clock.Captain Nilesh Soni fight bravely against Pakistani Army with his soldiers and sacrifice his life in “OPERATION MEGHDOOT” on 12th February 1987 at 25 year age. ""Saichin Glacier Medal ""and ""High Altitude Medal"" has been given to Captain Nilesh Soni by Indian Army. Ahmedabad Municipal corporation in his history first time named on public Road near residence of Shahid Caption Nilesh Soni as ""Shahid Caption Nilesh Soni Marg"" in 1989.After alloted land by Ahmedabad Municipal corporation near Anjali cross road ,Vasna area of Ahmedabad family members of Shahid Caption Nilesh Soni has constructed Shahid Smarak as permanent memories. On every Balidan Divas 12 th February and birthday 13 th July of Shahid Caption Nilesh Soni family members and local residents pay tribute to Shahid Caption Nilesh Soni at Shahid Smarak..Jay Hind.
