HIV/AIDS awareness cm Comprehensive Health Check-up was organised at Laithangpuii College of Pharmacy on 29th September, 2026 in collaboration with NHM & Doctors Against HIV/AIDS (DAHA).

Dr. Lalhuthangi Hmar, Chairman School Awareness Sub-committee, DAHA, Dr. B. Zothankima, Medical Superintendent, Mizoram State Cancer Institute, Pu Malsawmtluanga Hauhnar, Senior Treatment Supervisor, District TB Centre were the Resource Persons.

The students and Staffs who have accessed the free Health Clinic were provided basic medical care along with prescribed medicines.
The main purpose of the campaign is to create awareness about HIV/AIDS, STI, Tuberculosis and Non- Communicale Diseases and to encourage the students to adopt healthy lifestyle.

A total of 150 people attended the awareness programme.

HIV/AIDS awareness cm Comprehensive Health Check-up was organised at RIPANS on 30th September, 2026 in collaboration with NHM & Doctors Against HIV/AIDS (DAHA).
RIPANS Director Dr. Sanjay S. Sawant delivered a welcome address and Dr. R. Lalduhawmi, Secretary, DAHA and Dr. Cindy Lalthanpuii, Radiation Oncologist, MSCI, DAHA, Pu H. Lalrinmawia, Senior TB Lab Supervisor were the Resource Persons.

A meeting of the Core Coordination Committee of the State Transfusion Services was held today, September 30, 2026, at the office chamber of the Principal Director (H&FW), under the chairmanship of Dr. Lalthlengliani, Principal Director (H&FW).
The meeting reviewed the performance of the Blood Transfusion Services for the first quarter of the financial year 2026–27 and requirements of consumables for Blood Centers.
Dr. Jane R. Ralte, Project Director, MSACS, mentioned that as per the agenda of the last meeting, advanced technology for screening Transfusion-Transmitted Infections — Chemiluminescence Immunoassay (CLIA) — has been procured for seven Blood Centres and will be utilized very soon.
The Committee also reviewed the current status and operations of the Blood Centres, with a focus on upgrading the Centres, improving quality standards, and strengthening collaboration among stakeholders such as MSACS, NHM, and DHME.
