The Election Commission of India will host the National Conference of State Election Commissioners on 24 February 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi
The Conference aims to build greater synergy between the ECI and State Election Commissions in electoral processes and logistics within their respective legal frameworks. Discussions will include electoral laws on elector eligibility in States/UTs, and technological interventions led by the ECI, such as the newly launched ECINET digital platform and EVMs, among other key topics.

State Level Padyatra on National Voter’s Day, 2026 was held at T. Romana College in association with Mera Yuva Bharat and the Sports Authority of India under the theme “My Bharat, My Vote”, with the objective of encouraging voter awareness and participation. The rally witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, youth volunteers and officials. Newly enrolled voters were felicitated during the event in recognition of their commitment to democratic participation.
Dr Lalrozama, Chief Electoral Officer, Mizoram, addressed the gathering and highlighted the significance of voting in strengthening democracy. He encouraged the youth to exercise their franchise responsibly and to actively contribute towards building a vibrant and inclusive democratic society.
