*SVEEP ACTIVITIES IN AC 81 AKHNOOR*

SVEEP activities organized today at MHS DAV Public School Akhnoor in AC- 81 Akhnoor, under the supervision of Nodal Officer SVEEP AC- 81 Akhnoor, in order to enhance voter awareness and greater participation in elections.
The main aim of the programme was to inspire the future voters to participate in upcoming Assembly Elections, as ambassadors of the Election Commission of India by motivating their parents and relatives to cast their votes in upcoming Assembly Elections.
Speaking on the occasion Nodal Officer SVEEP AC-81 AKHNOOR, Dr. Shandilya Perminder Kour Associate Professor, sensitized the students about the importance of vote. She said that every voter should know the value of his/her vote, and each vote has equal value in democracy irrespective of the cast, color, creed, gender or economical status of the voter. She told them that we should take voting as our duty towards the nation.
Sh. Sandeep Choudhary member SVEEP team discuss with the students the complete process of voter registration and ask the students to apply for their vote as soon as they cross the age of 17 years.
Voters pledge was taken by the students and staff of the college. SVEEP team members AC 81 Akhnoor sh. Ashok Kumar, sh Bali Ram member SVEEP team also spoke on the occasion.
Principal Sh. Vipan Kumar Sharma and staff members of the school were also present. Students of the school took part enthusiastically in the programme.

Sh. GOPAL SINGH , SDM AKHNOOR ORGANISED INTERACTIVE SESSION AMONG SARPACHES AND SECTORIAL OFFICERS OF SUB DIVISION AKHNOOR
29 April, 2019. Akhnoor: In order to ensure communication among the Officers and the members of the Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRI’s) of Sub Division Akhnoor for providing speedy services to the public, Gopal Singh SDM Akhnoor organized an interactive session at Forest Guest House Akhnoor. All the members present in the session pointed out their issues which were noted down by the concerned officers. The officers were directed to take necessary action to redress their problems at the earliest and furnish action taken reports (ATR’s).
Most of the Sarpanches pointed out that the public is facing shortage of drinking water in the villages of Panchayat Halqua Kot Garhi, Maira Mandrian, Rajwal , Sungal, Pangiari and Rajachak, Sungal, Jad, Gurha Jagir, Chak Bhagwana and Nardi. The Executive Engineer PHE, Division Akhnoor was asked to visit personally in these Panchayats of Sub Division Akhnoor and take necessary steps to solve the problem.
Listening to the problems pertaining to Irrigation department, Executive Engineer Irrigation Division Akhnoor was directed to ensure that the work of removing silt from Partap Canal is completed within no time and all the channels are also repaired so that the farmers gain maximum benefits during the time of irrigation of their crops.
Agriculture Department also appealed the sarpanches to motivate the public for organic farming to curb the diseases which results due to inorganic farming , increased use of pesticides and insecticides.
The Officers were also asked to direct their officials to attend Gram Sabhas to listen to the grievances of public.
Sarpaches also raised the issue of deteriorated condition of roads, payment of MGNREGA works, requirement of electric poles, cases of old age pension etc. The concerned officers were asked to solve these problems of the public.

SUB DIVISIONAL MAGISTRATE AKHNOOR REVIEWED ARRANGMENTS FOR CELEBRATION OF INDEPENDENCE DAY

Akhnoor , August 11, 2018. Sh. Gopal Singh Sub Divisional Magistrate Akhnoor chaired a meeting of sectorial officers of sub division Akhnoor and reviewed the arrangements regarding celebration of Independence Day. A number of directions were issued and it was emphasized in the meeting that all officers/officials shall extend their co-operation to celebrate national function in such a way that patriotic feelings are created among the masses by displaying such actions which brings patriotism in physical form. It was also decided that the students and masses of all the areas of sub division Akhnoor will be involved in the celebration of function and prizes will be given to meritorious students and the persons who performed distinguished services for the society. 1590 kanals State, Kacharai & Common Land retrieved in Akhnoor

AKHNOOR, JULY 21 Acting upon the directions issued by Deputy Commissioner Jammu, an anti -encroachment drive has been launched in Sub Division Akhnoor.
Under the said drive, SDM Akhnoor, Tehsildar Akhnoor, Naib Tehsildar Akhnoor alongwith police retrieved about 1590 kanal of state, Kacharai and common land in Sub Division Akhnoor .
At village Amabaran, encroachment from Kacharai land was removed by demolishing various structures, foundations and fencing from Khasra No 1400 measuring 1250 kanals. Besides 198 Kanals of State land bearing Khasra No. 1357 situated at village Sungal, 130 Kanals of State land bearing Khasra Na. 901 at village Gurha Jagir and 11 kanal-09 Marlas of Common Land (Pond) at village Palwan was also retrieved.
Besides retrieval of encroached land, the sign boards mentioning the title of the land were also affixed in the retrieved land. The field staff was directed to keep strict vigil to check any kind of attempt to encroach the State/common land.
District administration warned that drive will continue till all the encroachment is removed from State land, Kacharai land,common land, Gair Mumkin Khad (water bodies) and the trespassers/encroachers will be booked under law.

ORGANISED UNDER GRAM SWARAJ ABHIYAN AT VILLAGE
Sh. Gopal Singh Sub Divisional Magistrate Akhnoor alongwith Sh. Mahesh Chander Tehsildar Akhnoor and other Sectorial Officers organized a camp under Gram Swaraj Abhiyan at Panchayat Ghar Pangiari. The aim of this camp was to spread awareness regarding various welfare schemes of government and to provide services to the people at their door step. A lengthy interactive session was held to aware the public. The problems and issues of the public were listened and redressed on the spot. During this session, a total No. of 308 caste certificates , 93 No. of Income certificates , 67 No. of revenue extracts and 60 No. of PRCs were distributed among the public. SDM appealed the public for their active participation in ongoing schemes of the government to get their benefit and if they face any problem in any office or on the part of any officer/official, the same may be brought into his notice for appropriate action into the matter.

SDM Akhnoor, Mrs sunaina Sharma was accorded warm farewell by the officers and employees of the Revenue Department, on her transfer at JMC Jammu, she has been posted as , JMC Jammu. A function was organized in PWD Guest House Akhnoor today, which was attended by all functionaries of the revenue Department of Akhnoor Sub Division. The speakers highlighted the rich contribution of Mrs. Sunaina Sharma in different spheres for the development of Akhnoor. Tehsildar Maira Mandrian Sh. Surender Bhagat and Tehsildar Akhnoor, sh. Kewal Krishan praised the gutsy and bold steps taken by her, they mentioned that they have learned a-lot from her. All the speakers mentioned that they have enjoyed the work during her tenure. She has spent around two years on this post, she took Akhnoor to the new heights of the development. She has also won from Hon’ble Chief Minister of J&K Mrs. Mehbooba M***i Sayeed, for her work in Campaign, she successfully implemented GST in Akhnoor, Sub Division. Akhnoor will remember her in the future for her steps in Traffic management . She thanked all the officers, officials and general public of Akhnoor Sub Division for their cooperation in making her tenure a grand success. She welcomed the new SDM Akhnoor, Sh. , who has been posted as SDM Akhnoor. Speaking on the occasion Sh. Gopal singh wished best wishes to Mrs. Sunaina Sharma.
