🎉 Proud Moment for SPNREC Araria! 🎉

We are delighted to share that Himanshu Kumar Sahni, a B.Tech Civil Engineering student of Shri Phanishwar Nath Renu Engineering College (SPNREC), Araria, has achieved a remarkable milestone in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship.

His startup, Scan2Plate, has been selected for ₹10 Lakh Seed Funding under the Startup Bihar Policy 2022 by the Department of Industries, Government of Bihar. 🚀

Scan2Plate is an innovative Restaurant-Tech SaaS Platform designed to modernize restaurant operations through advanced features such as QR-based ordering, pre-ordering, live kitchen tracking, and smart billing.

The startup aims to further integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) and automation for sales analysis, inventory management, and smarter business decision-making. The funding will support product development, technological enhancement, and the expansion of Scan2Plate across Bihar.

The Principal, Dr. Aseem Kumar Thakur, congratulated Himanshu on this outstanding achievement and appreciated the growing spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship among the students of the institution.

Prof. Sweety Kumari, Faculty In-charge of the Startup Cell, also congratulated Himanshu and wished him continued success in his entrepreneurial journey.

Shri Phanishwar Nath Renu Engineering College (SPNREC), Araria successfully organized the live screening of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's inspiring address on the theme "Nasha Mukt Yuva" in the Smart Classroom.

The programme began with a brief awareness session by Prof. Bihar Gaurav, who highlighted the importance of a drug-free lifestyle and encouraged students to adopt healthy habits, discipline, and responsible citizenship.

Principal Prof. (Dr.) Aseem Kumar Thakur addressed the students and emphasized that the youth are the greatest strength of the nation. He urged them to stay away from substance abuse and contribute towards education, innovation, and nation-building with dedication.

Students enthusiastically watched the Prime Minister's address, which inspired them to lead a healthy, drug-free life and actively participate in building a developed and empowered India.

The programme was successfully coordinated by Dr. Ritesh Kumar, Prof. Bihar Gaurav, and Prof. Raj Kumar Sharma. A large number of students participated in the event and collectively pledged to support the vision of a Drug-Free India.

🚀 Empowering Future Entrepreneurs at SPNREC Araria!

The Startup Cell of Shri Phanishwar Nath Renu Engineering College (SPNREC), Araria successfully organized an insightful workshop on "Pitch Deck Preparation" on 31 July 2026.

The workshop aimed to equip students with the skills required to effectively present their startup ideas, communicate with investors, and develop compelling pitch decks.

We were honored to have Mr. Anil Kumar Mandal, General Manager, DIC Araria, as the Chief Guest. The event was further graced by Mr. Abhishek Kumar, Project Manager, Department of Industries, Bihar, and Mr. Himanshu Kumar, Assistant Commissioner, GST, as Guest Speakers. The session was chaired by our respected Principal, Dr. Aseem Kumar Thakur.

An expert session by Dr. Ritesh Kumar covered the essential elements of a winning pitch deck, including market analysis, business model development, and strategies to attract investors. Students enthusiastically presented their innovative startup ideas and received valuable feedback and encouragement from the distinguished guests.

A special appreciation to Prof. Sweety Kumari, Faculty In-charge, Startup Cell, and Chhotu Kumar, Student Coordinator, for their dedicated efforts in making the workshop a grand success.

InnovoQuest 2.0 Successfully Organized at SPNREC Araria

On 08 April 2026, the Startup Cell of Shri Phanishwar Nath Renu Engineering College (SPNREC), Araria successfully organized InnovoQuest 2.0 – Tech Exhibition and Idea Presentation in collaboration with Department of Industries, Bihar, Startup India, and Startup Bihar at the Auditorium Hall from 10:00 AM onwards.

Students from SPNREC Araria, Government College of Engineering Kishanganj, and Government Polytechnic Araria actively participated and showcased their innovative startup ideas, technical models, prototypes, and projects. The event aimed to promote innovation, entrepreneurship, and technical skills among students while strengthening the startup ecosystem.

The Patron and Principal Dr. Aseem Kumar Thakur encouraged students to think creatively and move forward in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship. Organizing Secretary Prof. Sweety Kumari (Faculty Incharge, Startup Cell) highlighted that InnovoQuest 2.0 provided a strong platform for students to present their ideas and connect with industry-oriented innovation.

Coordinators of the event included Prof. Raj Sharma (ECE), Prof. Bihar Gaurav (ME), Prof. Md. Arman (CE), and Prof. Shweta Kumari (CSE), whose efforts ensured the smooth ex*****on of the program.

2nd Prize – Scanpex (Ayush & Team) – ₹3000
3rd Prize – Perfect Hack (Nitish & Team) – ₹2000

Jal Jeevan Hariyali Diwas Spnrec, Araria

Shri Phanishwar Nath Renu Engineering College, Araria celebrated Jal Jeevan Hariyali Diwas on 7 April 2026 with the objective of spreading awareness about water conservation, greenery, and agricultural innovation among students and society.

The theme of the program was “More production with less water: Changing agricultural landscape through innovation,” focusing on water conservation, modern irrigation techniques, and sustainable agricultural practices. The event was organized at the Smart Classroom of SPNREC Araria.

The program was held under the patronage of Principal Dr. Aseem Kumar Thakur, and coordinated by Nodal Officer (Jal Jeevan Hariyali) Prof. Md. Arman. Shri Gaurav Pratap Singh, District Agriculture Officer, Araria, attended the event as the chief guest and expert. He spoke about water conservation, drip and sprinkler irrigation, rainwater harvesting, and the impact of climate change on agriculture, and motivated students to adopt modern techniques for sustainable farming.

Group discussion, quiz competition, and essay writing competition were organized among students to create awareness about water conservation, greenery, and environmental protection. Students actively participated and shared their ideas on sustainable development and responsible use of water resources.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks to all guests, faculty members, and students for their active participation and support.

Jal Jeevan Hariyali Diwas Celebrated at SPNREC, Araria

Shri Phanishwar Nath Renu Engineering College, Araria celebrated Jal Jeevan Hariyali Diwas on 05 March 2026 (Thursday) to promote awareness about environmental conservation and sustainable energy.

On this occasion, several engaging activities such as Quiz Competition, Group Discussion, Painting Competition, and a Special Lecture Session were organized to encourage students to think about protecting natural resources and adopting eco-friendly practices.

The event was graced by Shri Krishna Kumar, Revenue Officer, Energy Department, Araria (Bihar) as the Chief Guest and Expert Speaker. During the special lecture, he highlighted this year’s theme “Promotion of Solar Energy and the Need for Energy Conservation.” He emphasized that solar energy is clean, renewable, and environmentally friendly, and that energy saved is energy generated.

Students were encouraged to adopt small energy-saving habits in daily life to reduce carbon footprint and help protect the environment. The program concluded with a collective pledge by students to promote environmental protection, energy conservation, and a greener lifestyle.
