The life of Doctors , paramedics and security of Hospitals is in grave danger. Un reported cases of threats, extortion for deaths in hospitals is on the rise. Public memory is short....they have forgotten what the profession dis during those times.

These two day token strikes by Federation and IMA wont help. There is hardly any unity in the profession. So we suffer. The way forward is not making new laws, which are useless, wont stop attacks and our judicial system useless. I can assure you this Kar Hospital case will take 5 years! And the criminal will get max 5 years in jail! Since law and police are toothless dogs wagging their tail to their political master, immaterial of the party( Hamam mein sab nange hai!) its for us to protect ourselves.

I had met a leading Physician in Lalu's Patna in 1998. He had two security guards with guns! That is the way forward. Armed security...nothing less. The cost: let the patients / insensitive patients pay. Sorry about that but the options are running out.

I came to know of this yesterday. I gave a cheque for 9,00,000/- to the post office for deposite and IDBI bank refused o honour it when presented. I had to sign a a form to get the cheque cleared. It is still under process. This is a clear case of excessive law for honest citizens dealing with white tax paid money. Another example of harassment by the RBI and Finance Ministry.

The govt will do well to establish a central constitutional body like the CEC for example, to audit all infra projects with a fixed frequency and put massive ( 25% of paid amount) financial penalty on the Builder and 50% cut in all benefits including pension and PF amount on the supervising officials. Actually I want them to be charged with murder and hanged if proven guilty!
