NATIONAL CAREER SERVICE CENTRE FOR SC/STs,BENGALURU

The National Career Service Centre for SC/STs ,Bengaluru (erstwhile Coaching-cum-Guidance Centre for SC/STs, Bengaluru) is a Subordinate office functioning under the Directorate General of Employment, Government of India, Ministry of Labour & Employment.

The National Career Service Centre for ScheduledCastes/Scheduled Tribes, (erstwhile Coaching-cum-Guidance Centre for SC/STs, Bengaluru) came into Existence in April 1983 as a result of the report of the committee, on Untouchability, Economic and Educational Development of the SC/STs under the Chairmanship of Shri L. Elayaperumal in 1969.

This Centre aims at over-all development of educated unemployed youths belonging to SC/STs through various programmes, viz., Confidence Building Programmes, Individual Guidance Programmes ,Career Talk, Dissemination of Career and Occupational Information to individuals, Training for Interviews,Pre-Recruitment Training, Awareness of welfare schemes for SC/STs ,Job Development, Self Employment etc..

OBJECTIVES:

1. Rendering vocational guidance to SC/ST Job Seekers at various stages.

2. To increase the employability of SC/ST jobseekers by way of training and coaching.

3. To channelize the available educated SC/ST manpower to appropriate vocations.

13. Special Coaching Scheme(11 Months) with stipend @ Rs 1000/month to SC/ST candidates for competitive exams of Group ‘C’ and Equivalent Posts .

15. One Year ‘O’ Level Computer & Hardware Training Programme with stipend@ Rs 1000/month.
