Hon’ble Minister Dr Jitendra Singh, emphasises that the Union Budget 2026–27 positions as a catalyst for India’s role in the next industrial revolution. With a ₹10,000-crore outlay, the initiative will take India beyond conventional pharmaceuticals into advanced biologics, biosimilars and medical devices, scaling indigenous, cost-effective biomanufacturing.
The Hon’ble Minister also highlights the ₹20,000-crore support for technologies, underscoring the role of biotech-enabled clean solutions in enabling industrial growth aligned with sustainability and circular economy principles.

The European Molecular Biology Organization ( excellence in life sciences) has announced key updates to its Postdoctoral Fellowship scheme, effective from the Autumn 2026 Selection Round (applications submitted after 23 January 2026, 14:00 CET):
🔹 One candidate per host lab per selection round
🔹 Spring round deadline revised: Fourth Friday of January (from 2026)
🔹 Eligibility expanded: First-author refereed preprints are now accepted as equivalent to publications
