NCBS and DBT-inStem are bringing you the 11th edition of the eagerly awaited Undergraduate Lecture Series on Advanced Biology!
Headed by a team of early-career researchers including PhDs and Post-docs, this initiative aims to build concepts and foster analytical thinking among undergraduate students, through interactive sessions and activities.
This year's theme is "Funneling into Biology" which focuses on interdisciplinary approaches to answering important questions in biology.
Undergraduate students of any discipline with an interest in biological research are invited. Master's students are also encouraged to apply.

On the Occasion of Rare Diseases Day, 29 February 2024, and Tata Institute for Genetics and Society, are co-hosting a public event featuring a panel discussion with scientists, clinicians and patient advocacy groups. The event will also have fun and interactive experiments and movie screening.

M.Sc Environmental Science students at , Pune visited and Sanjay Sane's labs and Tata Institute for Genetics and Society's facility to learn about their on vector using methods.

Jagdish Bose National Science Talent Search scholars visited and the Institute for Stem Cell Science and Regenerative Medicine (inStem). They were introduced to research in conservation, cancer and research themes at inStem. They also visited the spectroscopy and genomics facilities at NCBS.
Thanks to Uma Ramakrishnan, Sabrinathan Radhakrishnan, Arjun Guha, Arnab Dey and Awadhesh Pandit for making the session interesting and interactive.

Students of courses from Lady Doak College, Madurai toured the Central Imaging and Flow Cytometry facility and the insectary, and green houses at the Tata Institute for Genetics and Society, where they learnt about projects on behavior and tissue culture projects.
