🇮🇹🇮🇳 Strengthening business ties between Vicenza and Bengaluru!

A pleasure to welcome a business delegation from Confindustria Vicenza to Bengaluru, connecting two dynamic industrial and innovation ecosystems.

Vicenza is one of Italy’s leading manufacturing hubs, renowned for its entrepreneurship, industrial excellence and international outlook. The mission provided an opportunity to strengthen ties with Bengaluru’s industrial and technology ecosystem and explore new avenues for cooperation between Italian and Indian businesses.

The programme included business meetings and visits to Zetwerk, SatSure and Hi-Cal Technologies, offering valuable insights into Bengaluru’s strengths in advanced manufacturing, aerospace and innovation.

We were also delighted to host a reception, bringing together the delegation, Italian companies established in Bengaluru and friends of Italy.

Special thanks to Giulia Faresin, Vice President of Confindustria Vicenza, to (Italian Trade Agency) for organising the mission, and to the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) for its valuable support.

A pleasure to take part in the Global Innovation Alliance (GIA) of Karnataka, bringing together Karnataka’s growing network of international partners in innovation and technology.

A particularly important moment for 🇮🇹🇮🇳 relations, with the announcement of Italy as a Focus Country at the Bengaluru Tech Summit 2026, taking place 17–19 November — one of Asia’s leading technology and innovation platforms, bringing together government, industry, startups, investors and research institutions from India and around the world.

Sincere thanks to Hon. Priyank Kharge, Minister for Home Affairs, IT & BT and E-Governance, and to Dr Manjula, Secretary for Electronics, IT, Bt and Science & Technology, for their leadership and for the strong partnership with Italy.

A wonderful celebration of creativity, friendship and the universal language of art through the international Colors for Peace initiative. 🎨🕊️

At a special ceremony held at Shantiniketan Trust School in Bengaluru, young students brought their own visions of peace to life through drawing, reminding us that peace begins with imagination, dialogue and the values we pass on to the next generation.

It was a pleasure to celebrate their creativity and recognise their participation in this special initiative connecting Italy and India through a shared message of peace and friendship.

In recognition of their commitment and creativity, the participating students were awarded certificates as “Ambassadors of Peace” — a meaningful reminder that even the youngest voices can help spread a culture of understanding, friendship and peace. 🌍

The initiative, supported by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, brings young people together around a message that crosses borders: a more peaceful world is something we can all help to create.

🇮🇹🇮🇳 It was a real pleasure to meet Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla (Shubhanshu Shukla), the first Indian astronaut to visit the International Space Station.

A fascinating conversation about his journey to space, the future of exploration, and the extraordinary possibilities opened up by science and technology.

We also discussed the growing potential for cooperation between Italy and India in the space sector — an area in which both countries have strong capabilities, ambition and a shared interest in innovation.

🇮🇹🇮🇳 Italy at The India Advantage Summit in Bengaluru

Consul General Giandomenico Milano participated in the 10th edition of The India Advantage Summit (TIA), joining the international panel “Global Collaborations for a Sustainable & Resilient Future.”

The panel discussion, which brought together business leaders, policymakers and representatives of the international community, was attended by Shri Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, Member of Parliament for Mysuru–Kodagu and head of the Wadiyar royal family of Mysuru, who delivered the closing remarks.

The Consul General highlighted the growing importance of Bengaluru and Southern India for Italy, and the potential to further strengthen connections between our companies, institutions and innovation ecosystems.

An opportunity to exchange perspectives with Indian and international partners and promote ever closer 🇮🇹🤝🇮🇳 cooperation.
