NCSC-DA, Bengaluru referred a locomotor disabled candidate for suitable employment ( Dress Making Trade) and also facilitated a motor vehicle from NGO to enable her to travel independently to her workplace. Today, she is happily employed, earning her own income and moving towards greater independence and self-reliance.
This is a meaningful example of how skill development, employment support and mobility assistance can transform the life of a person with disability. It gives us immense satisfaction to see her confidence and happiness after getting both a job and the necessary mobility support.
