Art for a Cause
Despite repeated complaints made to the government officials, to repair a giant pothole and a broken water pipe in the middle of the main road in Bengaluru, India, a city-based artist, Baadal Nanjundaswamy, planted a 20 kg life-sized crocodile in the 12-feet-long pothole and painted the pothole green.
The reptile created quite a furore, but people soon realised it was a novel way of protest by Nanjundaswamy. According an Indian Express report, Nanjundaswamy created his fiber crocodile over a week's time at a personal cost of Rs. 6,000/- (INR).
The civic authorities reportedly fixed it within a day.
