"Caste intercepts every aspect of life. It is ubiquitous within the learning process. It creates distinctions among students and deprives them of equal opportunities to learn. The remedial measures against caste discrimination in higher education appear completely insufficient and impotent. There is a need for social reforms in academic institutions and all stakeholders involved must be sensitised to eliminate biases and prejudices."
Moogetu, a play written by Ravikiran Rajendran unravels the everyday in the departments, classrooms and academia through Divya and Roopa's voice.
On the occasion of Buddha Poornima - 5th April join us at Khali Ranga to the rehearsed reading of the new play Moogetu written by Ravikiran Rajendran.

Days post 2nd COVID had kept countless children out of schools and classrooms and there is no telling how many have not returned yet. The combined political, economic and health crisis combined to keep the children from marginalised communities away from school. It is in an attempt to engage with our young members during these times from Haadibadi Community Library that made its first short film Chakravyuha directed by Ravikiran Rajendran. It is being screened in the CGK National Theatre Festival. Look forward to seeing you join us.

Have you been to a library? Do you like reading books? Do you remember walking in to a library for the first time and been taken by what it offers or wondered at the people in silence reading, lost in the doorway of multiverse of stories? Do you have memory of having a library in school? The most studious types, the ones in search of many worlds through stories, love birds seeking some space, students who have found solace in the library until a time they eventually have to return home/hostel there are multitude experiences of what one has of a library. In some lives libraries simply have never existed at all.
Haadibadi Community Library is looking forward to documenting your experience of having access - or the lack of it - to libraries. Please take these few minutes in helping us understand, document, and collect the details of library in our lives. The form is given below:

Ravikiran Rajendran from Haadibadi, told TOI that children, mostly from labourer's communities, were excited to return to the library after the pandemic. “We are trying to build a readers' community in a community of underprivileged population. Throughout the pandemic, we have tried to keep the children in touch with reading through reading aloud on phone, and even allowing them to visit the library whenever it is safe," Read up the entire article with the link http://toi.in/CHCwhZ/a31ga8 💛
