Our New Director General of NCC India Lt. General Vinod Vashisht.
Lt General Vinod Vashisht took over the reins of NCC as it's DG on 23 December 2016.
Alumnus of NDA the General was commissioned into the Regiment of artillery on 9 June 1979. A graduate form Defence service staff College Wellington the General has attended the higher cammand caurse. National Difence college. IAS Professional course and Emargency Management course. He has held various staff and cammand appointment and has been awarded with COAS and GOC in C central command cammendation, USM and Bar for deistengus Ned service in cammaned and staff assignment. He held the appointment of additional Director general in Military training and the IQH of MoD (Army) .He was the cammandent in Officer traning Academy Gaya prior to the wrrant assignment. He succeeds Lt.general A Chakravarty. Who retired on 38 August 2016.
