Soudha bangalore: Was a heart warming experience being invited for the beautiful event of felicitating none other than my most favorite role model supreme court judge- Justice V Gopala Gowda. Was a matter of honor to provide opinions and being interviewed in the event which was graced by Deputy CM of Andhra Pradesh, (Hon.) Pawan Kalyan sir, Former chief justice of India Mr. Venkatachalaiah and other Ministers of State Govt. of Karnataka. Got the opportunity to spend few candid moments with Gopal sir and expressed my views on the functioning of Supreme court and how we need more humanitarian judges like him. The unfortunate Meghalaya murder case has gotten to people. Though such incidents have happened before, this particular case has an impact that I have not seen before. Yesterday when a couple came for session, the would be groom literally whispered when in his one to one session with me: "She had an affair which ended just few weeks back. Can you please help me to understand if she is safe to be with?"
These fears are not unfounded, and it's high time that our society starts understanding the importance of premarital counseling before spending crores in a marriage celebration. If you have any doubts about yourself or your partner, do not hesitate to consult a mental health professional. Premarital counseling is all about assessing redflags and compatibility issues. Though your marriage may not end like this, but any form of ending will bring it's own set of suffering. So it has to be always remembered- Prevention is better than cure.
