Emergency response teams acted swiftly. Firefighters took control with precision, the Fire officer led with clear instructions, and Civil Defence wardens provided strong ground support. Their coordination and quick action brought the situation under control and prevented further damage.

🚨 High-voltage opening clash of IPL 2026 at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium was handled successfully with full energy and discipline 💪

The duty was performed *under the guidance of Bengaluru City Police, in coordination with the Police Department and stadium management*, ensuring seamless crowd control and public safety.

The stadium was packed with electrifying fans, massive cheers for RCB vs SRH, and non-stop high-energy moments. Despite the intense “Josh” and huge turnout, the situation remained completely under control.

World's Tallest & Biggest Chariot Festival

The 2026 Huskur Madduramma Jatre at Huskur Madduramma Temple marked a historic celebration, with 17 massive chariots coming together for the first time in nearly a century, drawing lakhs of devotees in devotion and unity.

Amid this grand festival, the Civil Defence Wardens – Division-50 stood out for their exceptional service. From managing dense crowds and guiding devotees to assisting police and handling emergencies, their dedication ensured a safe, smooth, and peaceful Jatre.

🚒 Waste Fire Emergency Response – Karnataka Civil Defence | Division 50

Emergencies can happen anytime. That is why basic knowledge and training in fire safety and emergency response are important for every citizen. Civil Defence Wardens are trained to protect communities, support emergency services, and respond quickly during critical situations.

05 March 2026 | late evening – A waste fire with heavy smoke was reported in the Newtown WhatsApp group, Electronic City. Within minutes, trained Civil Defence Wardens responded, informed the Fire Department, and stepped forward to support the emergency response.

Under the leadership of Div-50 DDW Aspak Karadi, along with five wardens, the team:
• Evacuated nearby families to a safe location
• Assisted in controlling the fire before the fire vehicle arrived
• Guided residents to maintain a safe distance
• Removed flammable materials to prevent the fire from spreading
The waste fire was successfully brought under control, ensuring the safety of the surrounding area.

This incident shows how trained volunteers can make a real difference during emergencies.

🔥 Sofa & Upholstery Godown Fire – Anjanapura

On receiving the alert, Civil Defence Wardens were immediately mobilized to the incident spot. A fire had broken out in a godown storing sofas and upholstery materials. Due to highly combustible foam, wood, and fabric, thick smoke and intense flames were observed.

A major commercial fire in the narrow lanes of Chickpet, Bengaluru, demanded immediate action. Within minutes of the alert, Civil Defence Wardens mobilized from different parts of the city and rushed to the scene.

Working shoulder to shoulder with Karnataka State Fire and Emergency Services, SDRF teams, Police, and medical responders, the team controlled panic, evacuated civilians, supported firefighting operations, and provided first aid to the injured.

For more than 12 continuous hours, our wardens operated under extreme heat, heavy smoke, and challenging conditions — ensuring public safety and minimizing loss.
