Wing Commander Namansh Syal, a brave and decorated IAF pilot from Patiyalkar village in Kangra district, has died in a tragic Tejas fighter‑jet crash during a high-profile demonstration at the Dubai Airshow.

The 34-year-old, known for his dedication and courage, was deeply mourned by his hometown, with villagers calling him their “son” and a towering example of discipline and patriotism.

He leaves behind a family deeply rooted in service his wife, also an IAF officer, their six-year-old daughter, and elderly parents. Himachal’s CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and other leaders have expressed profound sorrow, calling his loss bitter and irreplaceable.

The IAF has ordered a court of inquiry into the accident to determine its cause, while the nation pauses to reflect on the sacrifice of one of its finest.
