Named after a temple dedicated to Lord Kumaraswamy in the area, Kumaraswamy Layout was formed in the late 1980s by the BDA.
This place is located in Bangalore City This area even though under BBMP until recently had not seen much development. The area was notorious for bad and narrow roads, poor drainage, badly maintained parks and crime. It was also one of the BDA layouts which was unplanned.
