Ganesh Chaturthi is a festival of grandeur, a carnival most awaited to dance off the beat, a week-long celebration with parades and slogans, and a myriad of Ganesha idols of various types and styles adorning every street. Amidst all this, the environment is abandoned and harmed due to the submerging of the idols coated with chemicals.

To fill this void, the NSS Unit of BMSCE organized the Go Green Ganesha Workshop to create 100% eco-friendly Ganesha idols out of clay.

The event was held on August 29th, 2022, two days prior to the festival, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

An eminent artist known in the field of arts and crafts, Miss Dimpana Raju, taught the participants to model the idol.
The participants took home their handmade Ganesha with a promise to hold eco-friendly celebrations.

On account of International Day of Yoga, 21st June 2022, the NSS Unit of BMSCE conducted "Yoga Week" for a period of 6 days , from 6th June to 11th June wherein every session was an hour long which included Suryanamaskara and different aspects of yoga that were taught by the instructor Shri. Shriyans Navalgund.

The NSS unit of BMSCE in collaboration with the Fine Arts club conducted a 48 hours art competition titled “2 States” under the initiative of Ek Bharat Shreshta Bharat to promote the mixture of the rich heritage and culture of Karnataka and Uttarakhand. Enthusiastic participants submitted their artwork depicting their interpretations of the cultures. Here are a few snapshots.

The NSS Unit of BMSCE conducted a Lantern making workshop in collaboration with the Fine Arts Club of BMSCE to celebrate the spirit of the festival of light Deepawali, in a creative way. “Languages form the intersection of different cultures”

The NSS Unit of BMSCE conducted a Language Learning Programme under the initiative of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat on 18 November 2020. Being partnered with Uttarakhand state, The NSS Programme officer, Prof. Hadagali Ashoka represented Karnataka and gave a short presentation on Kannada language to the Uttarakhand state volunteers. Around 200 volunteers participated. Here are a few snapshots.

As per the direction of the principal, the college is conducting a *VACCINATION DRIVE* from the 7th to 9th of July in association with BBMP. Please make sure to get yourself vaccinated using this opportunity.
