The Government of Karnataka, through KITS, Department of Electronics, IT & BT, has signed an MoU with ElevenLabs to explore responsible applications of Voice AI across governance, safety and social impact.

Hon’ble Minister Shri Priyank Kharge emphasised that AI must ultimately be measured by the difference it makes to people’s lives, while highlighting the need for safety, consent, trust and responsible deployment of Voice AI.

The partnership will focus on building a Voice AI safety framework, enabling people who have lost their ability to speak to communicate using a synthetic version of their own voice, and exploring more accessible government services through Voice AI.
