NLW25 | Central Library - Alliance University, Bangalore National Library Week November 14–20, 2025The Central Library of Alliance University celebrating the National Library Week from November 14th to 20th, 2025, underscoring the pivotal role libraries play in advancing education, disseminating knowledge, and nurturing intellectual growth.

The Valedictory Ceremony, held on November 26, 2024, marked the conclusion of National Library Week celebrations. The event included the much-anticipated Prize Distribution, where winners of various competitions were honored for their achievements. Awards such as the Best Library User, Slogan Writing, Drawing Competition, Knowledge Hunt, and Online Quiz were distributed, acknowledging the participants’ creativity, knowledge, and enthusiasm.

The National Library Week 2024 celebrations successfully engaged the university community, highlighting the library’s critical role in academic life. The events and workshops encouraged greater utilization of the library’s resources, fostered a culture of learning, and strengthened the bond between the library and its users.

The week concluded on a high note, leaving a lasting impact on students, faculty, and staff. It underscored the Central Library’s commitment to supporting academic excellence and intellectual exploration, inspiring the university community to continue their journey of learning and discovery.

Alliance University Central Library, in collaboration with the Karnataka State Library Association (KALA) and the Centre for Research (CFR), organized a workshop titled "Information Discovery and Reference Management Tools for Academic Writing" on 15th November 2024, as part of the National Library Week celebrations.

The workshop featured a hands-on session with Mendeley providing participants with practical insights into effective reference management for academic writing. The session was conducted by Dr. Shivaram B S, Joint Head, ICAST, CSIR-NAL. who shared their expertise and guided the participants through the software tools and their applications in academic research.

National Library Week is celebrated every year from 14 November to 20 November all over India and various programs are organized by libraries to enhance user awareness about libraries. The Alliance University Library also observes National Library Week through various events and activities. On the occasion of National Library Week, Alliance University Libraries and NDLI Club are organizing several events and activities for Students, Staff, and Faculty members from 15th to 17th and 20th November 2023.

To celebrate this week, various programs are being organized to create awareness about the importance of libraries.
