SKIP THE USUAL DIWALI TRIP. COME TO THE HIMALAYAS WITH A PURPOSE.

Srot Foundation in Tirthan Valley is looking for long-term student volunteers to support our after-school programme.

We currently have 5 students, including two preparing for their Class 10 and Class 12 exams who need regular academic support.

A dedicated female volunteer has already been here for 1.5 years, and we are looking for someone to join her and continue this work.

Minimum commitment: 2 months
Ideal: 3 months — or stay until March 2027.

Your food and stay are on us.

Come to the Himalayas. Teach. Learn. Live with purpose.
Instead of just taking a holiday, help shape a child’s future.

Not for all - This is only for physically fit or mentally stromg

Tirthan Valley, Himachal Pradesh

Want to learn how food is actually grown?

This is not a farm holiday.

This is a hands-on Himalayan farming experience for physically fit people who are ready for 5–6 hours of hard work every day.

You will learn:

• How to prepare and make mountain fields
• How cow dung is used as natural fertilizer
• How garlic is planted at the correct depth and spacing
• Traditional Himalayan farming techniques
• Natural soil and crop management

You will also get learning sessions from Government Jaivik Kheti programme officers.

Stay: Farm tents, double sharing, toilet tents
Food: Cooked together with our farm team
Work: 5–6 hours daily in the fields
Location: Tirthan Valley, Himachal Pradesh

This is for people who want to learn a real skill, understand farming and experience the mountains through work — not tourism.

If you are searching for volunteering in India, organic farming volunteering, volunteering in Himachal Pradesh, Himalayan volunteer travel or sustainable farm volunteering, this is for you.

LIMITED SEATS.

Come prepared for the sun, the soil and the hard work.

Come to learn farming. Leave with a skill.
