Shri Siddharth Chaturvedi, Convenor Confederation of Indian Industry lauded Madhya Pradesh Budget 2023-24 as Inclusive, Green and forward-looking and congratulated the state govt for making significant steps in Capital Formation, EoDB, highest ever allocation to infrastructure, MSMEs, Power and Water.

Shri Pinaki Chakraborty, Former Director, NIPFP termed the MP Economic Survey as highly analytical and participatory. He commended the state's increase in public expenditure supported by investment, digitalization, education and gender equality.

He recommended the inclusion of cost and benefit analysis of forests in the state and assessment of the impact of central policies on the state in future Economic Surveys.

Shri Ajit Kesari, ACS, Finance Department Madhya Pradesh presented the highlights of the Madhya Pradesh Budget 2023-24. The focus of the State has been on welfare, income augmentation of the youth, credit linkages to farmers, industry expansion and women empowerment.
Shri Kesari stated that Madhya Pradesh has been prudent in its expenditure while setting a record pace of growth in the last few years.

Economic Survey has great relevance in understanding the pattern of growth of a State’s economy. Budget 23-24 has renewed the focus on welfare of the disadvantaged strata of society with a greater share of Gender Budget and focus on SC-ST Welfare: Shri SK Mishra, Member IEA.

Vice Chairman Prof. Sachin Chaturvedi: MP is the first state to establish its own 'Statistical Commission' whose recommendations have shaped this year’s Economic Survey.

The major focus of the budget is on:
- Addressing investment/expenditure and returns on the same. The state has also brought forth 'Social Impact Bonds' to improve accountability on every expenditure.
- Investment in Bio-economy which has the potential to give 10 times RoI.
- Focus on apprenticeship for the Youth of the State.
- Importance to Ease of Living through investment in Social, Business and Physical Infrastructure.
