Ensuring Dignity Through Social Security

Belo Pradhan, an 82-year-old resident of Budadasha village under Badabanga Gram Panchayat, Daringbadi Block, Kandhamal district, is eligible for a ₹3,500 old-age pension but is currently receiving only ₹1,000.

For an elderly person, access to the full pension amount is essential for meeting basic needs and living with dignity.

We urge the concerned authorities to review his case, address the discrepancy, and ensure that Belo Pradhan receives his full and rightful pension amount without further delay.

Social security must reach every eligible person and protect their right to a dignified life. 🤝

🌿 Honouring Indigenous Midwives, Celebrating the Knowledge They Carry 🌿

For generations, Indigenous midwives have nurtured mothers, welcomed new life, and cared for children through traditional knowledge, compassion, and community wisdom.

Their knowledge is more than a tradition, it is a valuable part of Indigenous healthcare and a legacy passed from one generation to the next.

On the International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples, we honour Indigenous midwives for their wisdom, dedication, and vital role in keeping communities healthy, strong, and resilient.

Let us recognise, respect, and celebrate the knowledge they carry.
