Periods should never be confined to conversations among girls and women alone. Building a truly aware and inclusive society requires boys and men to be equally informed, sensitive, and empathetic towards menstruation.

From homes and educational institutions to workplaces, open dialogue around periods and equitable access to menstrual hygiene products are essential to breaking stigma and fostering dignity, understanding, and support.

At IFI Foundation’s campaign organised around , Dr Subhanga Kishore Das, Principal of World Skill Center, Bhubaneswar, emphasised that menstruation should never be treated as a taboo.

Highlighting the importance of inclusive awareness, he stressed that not just girls, but boys too, must be educated about periods to build an informed and empathetic society. Dr Das welcomed youth’s powerful pledge to spread menstrual health awareness in their respective communities, turning dialogue into action.

At the initiative organised by IFI Foundation at World Skill Center, Bhubaneswar, Pranati Parida, Co-Chair, IFI Foundation and Campaign Chair, called for a more aware and inclusive approach to menstrual health.

She stressed that access to essential menstrual hygiene products and support systems is a collective responsibility for building an equitable society. She further highlighted that menstruation must not be hidden in silence or burdened by superstition. It is a natural biological process—free from stigma or limitation—and must be acknowledged with dignity, respect, and openness.
