On 29 May 2026, the orchards of Mayurbhanj found a new horizon as 9.5 quintals of premium Amrapali mangoes from Swayang Sampurna Women Farmers Producer Company Limited, Jashipur–Karanjia made their way to London and Milan, Italy—a proud moment that celebrates the journey of local produce from Odisha to international markets!

Promoted under the APC Program, with support from the Department of Mission Shakti and the Directorate of Horticulture, facilitated by APC partner PRADAN, and backed by technical support from Palladium, this export marks a meaningful milestone in the journey of a women-led producer collective that continues to broaden its reach and aspirations.

Beyond the numbers lies a deeper story of seasons patiently nurtured, of collective effort woven into every harvest, and of a rural enterprise finding its place in distant markets. As the mangoes travel across continents, they carry with them more than sweetness; they carry the spirit of Mayurbhanj and the growing confidence of Swayang Sampurna WFPC, proving that even the most local of journeys can find a place on the global map.

A proud milestone for the members of Kankadahada Farmers Producer Company!
In the last week of April, they set up their stall for the very first time in Bhubaneswar at Subhadra Shakti Bazar. This opportunity helped them to connect directly with consumers, sell their produce, and earn better returns for their hard work.
This was made possible with the support of the Department of Mission Shakti initiative, promoted under the APC program, which provided a dedicated space to set up stalls at Subhadra Shakti Bazar.
With continued guidance from the Directorate of Horticulture and APC partner Shristi, the FPC supports farmers from the Kankadahada block in moving beyond farming, gaining valuable market experience, and building entrepreneurial skills.
Kudos to all the members of the company and everyone who made this possible!
