The National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) was launched by the Hon’ble Prime Minister on 12th April 2005, to provide accessible, affordable and quality health care to the rural population, especially the vulnerable groups. The Union Cabinet vide its decision dated 1st May 2013, has approved the launch of National Urban Health Mission (NUHM) as a Sub-mission of an over-arching National Health Mission

ରାଜ୍ୟବାସୀଙ୍କୁ ଜରୁରୀକାଳୀନ ଚିକିତ୍ସା ସୁବିଧା ସମୟ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ପହଞ୍ଚାଇବା ଲକ୍ଷ୍ୟରେ ୪୨୮ଟି ନୂଆ ଆମ୍ବୁଲାନ୍ସ ସେବାର ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ହୋଇଛି । ଏହାର ପ୍ରଥମ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟାୟରେ ଗତ ୨୩ ଡିସେମ୍ବରରେ ୧୫୦ଟି ଆମ୍ବୁଲାନ୍ସର ଶୁଭାରମ୍ଭ ହୋଇଥିବାବେଳେ, ଆଜି ଭୁବନେଶ୍ୱର କଳିଙ୍ଗ ଷ୍ଟାଡିୟମରେ ମାନ୍ୟବର ମୁଖ୍ୟମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଶ୍ରୀ Mohan Charan Majhi ୨୫୦ ଟି ନୂଆ ଆମ୍ବୁଲାନ୍ସର ଲୋକାର୍ପଣ କରିଛନ୍ତି ।
