A Technical Review Mission of the World Bank was successfully conducted under the REWARD Odisha Programme. The mission focused on reviewing overall project progress and mapping out a detailed roadmap for timely and impactful completion.
The mission concluded with a high-level debriefing meeting with the Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Department of Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment.

Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister, Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment and Energy, chaired a high-level review meeting through OSWAN from Balangir with district collectors, senior officials, and agricultural experts on preparedness for Kharif 2026, in view of IMD’s forecast of a below-normal monsoon and possible El Niño conditions.
Discussions focused on ensuring adequate seed supply, fertilizer availability, crop insurance coverage, farmer registry updates, agro-advisories, and district-level contingency planning to safeguard farmers’ interests and minimize climate-related risks during the upcoming Kharif season.
