An inspiring evening filled with learning, hands-on action and real progress at the Walmart Vriddhi & Flipkart Onboarding Workshop on 7 Feb, with enthusiastic participation from our INWEC members.

The session sparked meaningful conversations and gave sellers practical clarity to take their next steps forward.

As part of this initiative, our members also onboarded their products live completely free of cost. The program empowers Indian MSMEs to digitalize, grow, and sell on Flipkart and international platforms through training, personalized mentoring, and expert guidance.

✨ An Inspiring Evening with Aseem Kapoor! ✨

INWEC had the pleasure of hosting acclaimed designer Mr. Aseem Kapoor for an inspiring session that left our women entrepreneurs energized, motivated, and full of practical insights.

The meet-and-greet featured an engaging conversation with our dynamic members Pallabi Sarangi (Kuns Squad) and Suryasnata Sharma (Suha India), creating an evening that was insightful, thought-provoking, and truly inspiring.

The evening was insightful, engaging, and full of inspiration, as we explored:

✴️ Key learnings from Mr. Kapoor’s journey
✴️ Powerful messages for women entrepreneurs

Mr. Kapoor spoke candidly about building his brand, the discipline and dedication it demands, and how fatherhood and partnership transformed his creativity and perspective. He also shared heartwarming reflections on his family, showing that success is even more meaningful when it’s shared and supported.

The conversation was followed by a lively Q&A, moderated by Pallabi and Suryasnata, where members explored topics like design innovation, sustaining creativity, positioning products, and overcoming entrepreneurial challenges.

Held on 24th October 2025, the session hosted by INWEC, in collaboration with Metro Group and Acre Arise, brought together our INWEC members, entrepreneurs, professionals, and brand enthusiasts eager to explore the true essence of impactful branding.

We’re absolutely thrilled to share that our INWEC member Sonika Pradhan and her inspiring venture "Haathkatha" have been officially selected as one of 143 startups (out of 3000+ applicants!) for the 5th Cohort of the Women Startup Program (WSP) at NSRCEL, IIM Bangalore!

What makes this even more special - Haathkatha proudly represents Odisha, being one of only two startups from the state chosen for this prestigious program! 🌿

A fun-filled evening to cherish! 🌸✨

On 24th September, our INWEC members lit up ODI Social with festive spirit as we came together for a vibrant Navratri celebration, beautifully led by our Convenor, Preeti Pallavi Patnaik.

From Entrepreneurial Tambola with a twist that had everyone smiling, to delicious snacks, energetic garba beats, and stunning festive outfits - the evening was brimming with joy, laughter, and togetherness. 💃

We were delighted to be joined by our INWEC core member, Ms. Sofia Firdous, Hon’ble MLA of Cuttack-Barabati, whose presence added warmth and encouragement to the celebration.

And a heartfelt thank you to Sukirti Patnaik for hosting us at her beautiful space, ODI Social, and for making this memorable initiative possible.

On 6th September 2025, INWEC members came together for a dynamic Professional Workshop & Business Showcase, hosted to empower leaders and entrepreneurs.

Our members had the privilege of attending a masterclass by Mr. Ujjaval Buch, Director & Master Coach at United Minds, whose deep insights on leadership and personal mastery left a lasting impression. With decades of experience coaching top leaders, entrepreneurs, and teams, Mr. Buch shared practical strategies to cultivate a mastery mindset, balance inner growth with outer success, transform pressure into power, and build enduring legacies - equipping members to elevate both their personal and professional journeys.

The Business Showcase by SHERO PROPERTIES, hosted by Mr. Anil Das and Mrs. Sheetal Joshi, offered valuable insights into real estate investments in Dubai. Members got a chance to meet leading real estate developers in Dubai, learn about market trends, legal guidance, and receive personalized consultations. From buying, selling, leasing, to business setup and expansion, our members explored exciting global investment opportunities.

A special thank you to our Convenor, Ms. Preeti Pallavi Patnaik, for spearheading this initiative and creating a platform where women leaders can connect, learn, and explore global opportunities.

INWEC at Viksh*t Odisha 2036 Conclave!

At the Viksh*t Odisha 2036 Conclave held on 29th August 2025, INWEC stood tall as the voice of women entrepreneurship, shaping Odisha’s growth journey with vision and purpose.

Our Convenor, Ms. Preeti Pallavi Patnaik, proudly presented INWEC’s journey of empowering women entrepreneurs across districts - building opportunities, breaking barriers, and driving measurable impact.

This high-impact session was hosted by the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC), under the leadership of Mr. Rajib S Sahoo, Chairman, ICC Odisha, in association with the Government of Odisha and Laghu Udyog Bharati (LUB), under the leadership of Shri Gopal Das Agarwal, President, LUB, with the theme:

“Empowering Odisha's Growth Engines: Addressing Sectoral Priorities, Sectoral Challenges, Emerging Opportunities, and Strategic Roadmap.”

The conclave was chaired by Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha, and graced by Shri Manmohan Samal, President BJP Odisha, along with senior ministers, IAS officials, ICC leaders, policymakers, and RERA representatives.

All ICC Convenors showcased sectoral achievements, shared policy insights, and addressed key challenges - creating a powerful forum for knowledge exchange and collaborative growth.

ICC WOMEN ENTREPRENEURSHIP COMMITTEE

ICC WOMEN Entrepreneurship Committee (IWEC) focuses to empower women entrepreneurs in both urban and rural areas of Odisha. The core objective of IWEC is to bring Women Entrepreneurs and Business Leaders from diverse sectors and work together for their growth and development. This committee will create a conducive ecosystem that is Women-led, Women driven and Women Supported for a better tomorrow.

With this, Odisha has in fact become the first State in the country to get ICC’s first women’s committee for entrepreneurship development. This committee is a diverse group of women entrepreneurs from various sectors both big and small who can share, collaborate and grow together to fast pace the ongoing industrial growth in the State.

Hon. Chief Minister of Odisha Mr.Naveen Patnaik inaugurated the ICC Women’s Entrepreneurship Committee (WEC) on 15th January’20. He quoted:

“Odisha has championed the cause of women empowerment through a series of initiatives, said Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday. Launching the Women’s Leadership Summit of Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Odisha State Council here, the chief minister said his Government has encouraged socio-economic empowerment of women through initiatives like Mission Shakti, Startup Odisha, and Skilled-in-Odisha.
