The 31st meeting of the State Advisory Contract Labour Board was held on 4th June 2026 at the 5th Floor Conference Hall of Kharvel Bhawan. The meeting was chaired by the Hon'ble Minister, Labour & ESI, Shri Ganesh Ramsingh Khuntia. The ACS, Labour & ESI Department, Labour Commissioner, Odisha and all the members of the Board along with senior officials of the Department and Labour directorate were present in the meeting.

A District-Level Workshop on Elimination of Child Labour was organized on 3rd June 2026 in the Conference Hall of the Zilla Parishad, Rayagada. The programme was organized jointly by the District Administration of Rayagada, District Labour machinery, and Odisha State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (OSCPCR). The Chairperson of OSCPCR, Mrs Babita Patra, presided over the workshop.
Honourable members of the commission—Mrs Kasturi Mishra, Mrs Manaskita Khuntia, and Mrs Sujata Nayak—attended the event. Other key attendees included Prof. Biraja Swain of the National Law University (NLU); Shri Ashutosh Kulkarni, IAS, Collector & District Magistrate; Shri Raj Prasad, IPS, Superintendent of Police; Shri Nabin Chandra Nayak, Additional District Magistrate; the Additional Superintendent of Police; and various district-level officers. The programme also witnessed active participation from the CDMO, the CDO-cum-EO of the Zilla Parishad, BDOs, the Chairperson of the CWC, representatives of DLSA, DLO, Tahsildars, CDPOs, ALOs, the DCPO, the DSWO, DEO, DWO, and Executive Officers of NACs and municipalities.

ଭୁବନେଶ୍ୱର, ୩ ଜୁନ ୨୦୨୬: ରାଜ୍ୟ ଶ୍ରମ ସଂସ୍ଥାନ, ଓଡ଼ିଶାର ୧୩ତମ ସାଧାରଣ ପରିଷଦ ବୈଠକ ଆଜି ସ୍ଥାନୀୟ ଖାରବେଳ ଭବନର ପଞ୍ଚମ ମହଲା ସମ୍ମିଳନୀ କକ୍ଷରେ ମାନ୍ୟବର ଶ୍ରମ ଓ କର୍ମଚାରୀ ରାଜ୍ୟ ବୀମା ମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଶ୍ରୀ ଗଣେଶ ରାମ ସିଂଖୁଣ୍ଟିଆଙ୍କ ଅଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷତାରେ ଅନୁଷ୍ଠିତ ହୋଇଯାଇଛି। ଶ୍ରମିକଙ୍କ କଲ୍ୟାଣ ଓ କ୍ଷମତା ବିକାଶ ଦିଗରେ ସଂସ୍ଥାନର ଭୂମିକାକୁ ଆହୁରି ସୁଦୃଢ଼ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କ ସମନ୍ୱିତ ପ୍ରୟାସ ଉପରେ ସେ ଗୁରୁତ୍ୱାରୋପ କରିଥିଲେ।

ପ୍ରାରମ୍ଭରେ ରାଜ୍ୟ ଶ୍ରମ ସଂସ୍ଥାନର ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶକ ତଥା ଶ୍ରମ ଆୟୁକ୍ତ ଶ୍ରୀ ଇନ୍ଦ୍ରମଣୀ ତ୍ରିପାଠୀ ସ୍ୱାଗତ ଭାଷଣ ପ୍ରଦାନ କରି ଥିଲେ ଏବଂ ସଂସ୍ଥାନର ଉପାଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷା ତଥା ଶ୍ରମ ଓ କର୍ମଚାରୀ ରାଜ୍ୟ ବୀମା ବିଭାଗର ଅତିରିକ୍ତ ମୁଖ୍ୟ ଶାସନ ସଚିବ ଶ୍ରୀମତୀ ଚିତ୍ରା ଅରୁମୁଗମ ତାଙ୍କ ଅଭିଭାଷଣରେ କହିଥିଲେ ଯେ ଆଗାମୀ ଦିନରେ ଏହି ଶ୍ରମ ସଂସ୍ଥାନକୁ ଅଧିକ ଲୋକାଭିମୁଖୀ କରିବା ସହ ବିଭିନ୍ନ ଶ୍ରମ ସଂହିତା ସମ୍ବନ୍ଧୀୟ ବ୍ୟାପକ ପ୍ରଶିକ୍ଷଣ ପ୍ରଦାନ କରାଯିବ ।

ଏହି ବୈଠକରେ ଅନ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଶ୍ରମ ଓ ରାଜ୍ୟ କର୍ମଚାରୀ ବିଭାଗର ବରିଷ୍ଠ ଅଧିକାରୀ ଏବଂ ପଦାଧିକାରୀମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଯୋଗ ଦେଇଥିଲେ।

Preparatory meeting on Fortnight Campaign against child labour from 12.06.2026 to 26.06.2026 has been held under the charmanship of Labour Commissioner, Odisha. The representatives of OSCPCR, PECUC, CACL, CYSD, IJM and Community Radio participated.

On 29 May 2026, joint raids were conducted in coordination with the District Police, District Administration, and District Labour Machinery of Talcher to rescue child labourers from hotels and dhabas across the Talcher and Pallahara blocks. During the raids, five children and one adolescent labourer were found working in hotels and dhabas. All the rescued children and adolescents were produced before the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) in Angul for proper rehabilitation.

On 21 May 2026, the District Labour Machinery, Boudh, conducted an on-site verification of construction workers at various sites across the Baunsuni, Dahya, and Khaliapali Gram Panchayats (G.P.) under the Boudh Block.During the drive, officials met with around 25 construction workers. Out of them, 19 workers were already registered under the Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, while the remaining six were advised to apply for registration.
In light of the prevailing heatwave, both workers and employers were sensitized to the government's heatwave guidelines, including the restriction on working between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM. Employers were strictly instructed to maintain sufficient drinking water, ORS packets, and first-aid boxes at the worksites. Additionally, the district's emergency control room number was shared with them. The workers were also educated on various welfare schemes, procedure for BOC ID card activation,annual contribution and various provisions of labour laws.

ଆଦ୍ୟ ତା- ୧୯.୦୫.୨୦୨୬ ସମୟ- ସକାଳ ୮:୦୦ ରେ ଯ଼ୁନିଫାଏଡ୍ ମାଇଗ୍ରେସନ୍ ମ୍ୟାନେଜମେଣ୍ଟ ସିଷ୍ଟମ୍ ପାଇଲଟ୍ ପ୍ରକଳ୍ପର ବେସ୍ ଲାଇନ୍ ଆକଳନ ପାଇଁ ଜୟଦେବ ବିହାରରେ ଶ୍ରମିକମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ବିଶ୍ୱ ଖାଦ୍ୟ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମ ଦଳ ଓ ଭୁବନେଶ୍ୱର ଶ୍ରମ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟାଳୟ ର ଅଧିକାରୀମାନେ ସଚେତନ କରାଇଥିଲେ। ଶ୍ରମ ବିଭାଗ ସହିତ ବିଶ୍ୱ ଖାଦ୍ୟ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମକୁ ସମନ୍ୱିତ କରିବାର ଏହା ଏକ ଅନନ୍ୟ ପ୍ରୟାସ।

On 13 May 2026, the District Labour Machinery of Bargarh visited three construction sites of NAC Barpali. Workers at the sites were advised not to work between 11:00 am and 3:00 pm, the peak hours of heat. The contractors were instructed to arrange sufficient drinking water and ORS for the workers, and to avoid engaging workers during these peak hours.
