Subhadipta Biswas, an alumnus of the prestigious Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute - SRFTI, Kolkata (2011–2014), he holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Film Editing and is an award-winning director and editor with an eye for cinematic storytelling.

The night before our long Corbett drive from Vanghat to Kotdwar and back to Ramnagar, we placed a camera trap at the iconic Buddha statue inside Vanghat, wilderness experience. This serene perch has often gifted me sightings of barking deer and over 50 rare bird species in a single day.
That night, something else emerged from the shadows.
At the foot of the Reclining Buddha, a Small Indian Civet appeared. It was camouflaged in the undergrowth, its glowing eyes catching the camera’s light. Solitary and nocturnal, this elusive creature silently moves through the forest fringes. It is rarely seen and often goes unnoticed.
It was a quiet reminder that Vanghat, even in stillness, is alive.

Abhishek Naam To Suna Hoga!
(Not a filmy line. This is real.)
I had announced his joining the GENCF Team long ago, and we met last year in Guwahati. Since then, Abhishek has been the creative force behind all our social media and the designer of Whispering Wilds. He handles both the Foundation's and my personal platforms.
He is the only designer in our team. Every creative you see is his work. I am particular about perfection, and we often work late into the night. In our team, once you are in, you are family. There are no boundaries when it comes to communication.
We missed our magazine deadline, and I take full responsibility. But today, Abhishek is editing the magazine while travelling. He is responding to queries, fixing designs, and actually working from a moving bus. That is true commitment.
We are not just a team. We are a passionate, slightly crazy bunch who give it everything we have.
More power to you, Abhishek. You are not just our designer. You are the soul behind the visuals.

Today, at Earth Hour 2025, I experienced a truly humbling moment. After my speech, Rajiv Ji, the General Manager of NRL, approached me with warmth and sincerity. What he said left me astonished—he had been hearing about my work and felt fortunate to meet me in person. His words resonated deeply, filling me with gratitude and honor. It’s moments like these that remind me why I do what I do. Knowing that my wildlife photography is reaching people beyond the wilderness, touching hearts in ways I never imagined, is a feeling beyond words.
Similarly, I met a cyclist who plant trees riding his cycle and a botanist studying Folklore in Guwahati University.

A New Perspective on a Common Species!
Even after 10 years in the field, nature still surprises me! During our Earth Hour Photo Walk on 19th March, in collaboration with WWF and supported by Nikon and Zeiss, I came across a common species—but with a story that felt entirely new.
While participants captured the moment, I guided them, narrating the story as I observed through my binoculars. Watching their excitement unfold was truly rewarding! But I knew I had to document it myself. So, I returned today to capture the story in my own frame.
