প্রতি বছরের মত HEART Foundation এর পক্ষ থেকে ঈদ উপলক্ষে সহায়-সম্বল-হীন মানুষজনের হাতে নতুন বস্ত্র তুলে দেওয়ার কাজ শুরু হয়েছে। আমরা যথাসাধ্য চেষ্টা করি যাতে এলাকার (আশেপাশের প্রায় ২০টি গ্রাম ) 'সত্যিই প্রযোজন' আছে এমন কোন মানুষজন বাদ না পড়ে।
করোনা'র কারণে আগের দুবছর ঈদে এবং পূজোতে আমরা বাড়ি বাড়ি গিয়ে নতুন জামা-কাপড় দিয়ে এসেছি, এবছর আমাদের ফাউন্ডেশনে এসে নিয়ে যাওয়ার আবেদন করেছি, শুধু তাদের বাড়িতেই পৌঁছে দিয়ে আসছি যাদের এসে নিয়ে যাওয়ার শারিরীক সামর্থ নেই!

সবার ঈদ ভালো কাটুক আনন্দে কাটুক।

HEART Foundation এর কাজের ধরণ অন্যান্য সমাজসেবী সংস্থার থেকে হয়ত একটু আলাদা, আমরা গ্রামে গ্রামে খোঁজ করে শুধু তাদেরকেই সাহায্য পৌঁছে দিয়ে আসি যাদের সত্যিই সাহায্য দরকার, বিশেষ করে প্রতিবন্ধী বা বয়স্কজনেরা। এতে আমাদের পরিশ্রম আনেকখানি বেড়ে যায়, তবুও সথাসাধ্য চেষ্টা করি। নাম লিখে ক্যাম্প করে একবারেই দেওয়া যায়, কিন্তু অনেকের শারিরীক সামর্থ নেই দূরে কোথাও গিয়ে কিছু নিয়ে আসা, বা কাউকে কিছু সময়ের জন্য হলেও কাজ ছেড়ে আসতে হতে পারে, আবার কিছুটা হলেও যাতায়াতের খরচা হতে পারে। এই ভাবনা থেকেই আমরা বাড়িতে গিয়ে দিয়ে আসি,এই কারণেই আমাদের এবছরের পূজা উপলক্ষে বস্ত্রবিতরণ চলছে বেশ কয়েকদিন ধরে।

HEART Foundation এর স্বেচ্ছাসেবকদের আমার আন্তরিক ধন্যবাদ তাদের এই বিনা পারিশ্রমিকে নিরলস পরিশ্রমের জন্য। Well Done my Boys!

পূজা উপলক্ষে HEART Foundation এর পক্ষ থেকে বস্ত্র বিতরণের আজ দ্বিতীয় দিন, সেখান থেকে নেওয়া কিছু ছবি।
সবাই ভালো খুব থাক, সবার ভালো কাটুক উৎসবের আগামী দিনগুলো।

গত বছর থেকে যেখানে দু-বেলা দু-মুঠো খাবার জোগাড় করতে যারা হিমশিম খায়, তাদের কাছে উৎসবে নতুন পোশাক কেনার কথা হয়ত মাথায় আসে না। আমরা চেষ্টা করি সেইসব মানুষের হয়ে তাদের ইচ্ছের কথা কিছুটা ভাবতে, তাদের পাশে সাধ্যমত দাঁড়াতে। আগের বছরের মত এবছরো এমনি কিছু পরিবারের খোঁজ নিয়ে বাড়িতে গিয়ে তাদের হাতে নতুন পোশাক তুলে দিচ্ছে HEART ফাউন্ডেশন।

শারোদৎসবের দিনগুলো সবার ভালো কাটুক, আনন্দে কাটুক।

This year’s Puja season is quite different.
The Coronavirus has created an unprecedented situation where most people have struggled throughout the year. Puja season is an opportunity to let go of our worries and enjoy.
To spread the festive aura, HEART Foundation has distributed clothes to some people who were not able to afford new clothes. Enjoy a few snippets of their joyous smiles.

HEART Foundation continues its Tarpaulin(Tripal) distribution to the needy.
A little glimpse of today's work.

HEART Foundation's strategy to deliver food packets directly to the homes of impoverished families in this Covid-19 situation has been successful in easing their lives. During the course of this action, we observed several families staying in huts with several leaks. This is indefinitely a problem during the rainy season. However, as we have limited resources at the moment, we can't help them to rebuild their houses.
Instead, we have started delivering Tarpaulin( Tripal) to those families are in need to provide some water resistance to their huts.

A group migrant farmers (around 50) from Jharkhand come to Murshidabad, West Bengal every year to work and stay in temporary shelters for few months. They work really hard to grow crops (mainly Rice), not as a daily labour but rather as a farming partner. They then return back to their homes with their crop share after its fully harvested.

This year was unfortunate for them. They were heavily impacted by the lockdown where they were unable to work. The Amphan, followed by extremely bad weather added fuel to the fire. This year they will return with almost EMPTY hands.

HEART Foundation had supported them with rations in our first phase of distribution.
Today, as part of our third phase of foodpack distribution, we have given them some more rations.

Now we are working out how we can support them in their return home this year. HEART Foundation has decided to fund their journey back home to Jharkhand as well as to give them some token money for their kids at home.

HEART Foundation continues delivering food pack to the families in need.

HEART Foundation continues its food pack distribution to homes, in person. When delivering, we have observed heartbreaking conditions of some families. For instance, a family of two elderly members with no income. On top of that, both of them are blind. Managing to acquire a day’s food is inevitably hard for them, let alone during a pandemic. The food pack we delivered may be sufficient for 4-5 days.Then?
We have identified such vulnerable families and decided to deliver food pack to their homes at regular intervals.

বাড়ি বাড়ি ঘুরে HEART Foundation এর খাদ্য সামগ্রী বন্টন অব্যাহত রয়েছে। বাড়িতে খাবার পৌঁছে দিতে গিয়ে কিছু পরিবারের হৃদয়-বিদারক করুণ অবস্থার চিত্র উঠে এসেছে। দেখাগেল এক পরিবারে মাত্র দুজন সদস্য, কোন আয় নেই, শুধু তাই নয় বৃদ্ধ-বৃদ্ধা দুজনেই অন্ধ, সত্যিই জানিনা কিভাবে অন্ন সংস্থান হয়, আমরা যা দিয়ে এলাম তাতে খুব বেশি ৪-৫ দিন হয়ত চলবে, তারপর?
এরকমই বেশ কয়েকটি পরিবার চিহ্নিত করেছি। আমরা ঠিক করেছি এই সমস্ত একেবারে লাচার-অসহায় মানুষজনের বাড়ি গিয়ে কদিন পরপর খাদ্য সামগ্রী তুলে দিয়ে আসব।
