A healthy and constructive discussion was held during the meeting with the worthy Vice Chancellor Ma’am and DCDC, PU, on the following pressing issues concerning the teaching fraternity, and an assurance was received for their resolution.
• Transparency in Data Submitted by Colleges (7th Pay / PF / Retiral Benefits etc.) and demand for strict action against institutions violating established rules.
• SGPC Letter dated 27.02.2026: Serious concerns regarding unlawful provisions such as zero DA, denial of arrears, retiral benefits as per old provisions, and stoppage of annual increments etc.
• Stakeholder Feedback on NEP: Need for systematic feedback from teachers and students to strengthen the education system and remove flaws.
• Strengthening the Examination System to address practical challenges faced by students, colleges and teachers.
• Examination-Related Remuneration.
• Issue of Retirement Age of Teachers.

Todays Press Conference in Favour of Legitimate Demands of College Teachers:
CAS Promotions w.e.f. 18.07.2018 as per UGC Regulations-2018, One-Year Probation with Full Salary, Grant of Permissible Allowances including DA Enhancement w.e.f. 01.01.2025, 20% HRA, and Past Service Benefits etc.

Dear friends,
Reference your queries and discussion with concerned PU officials:

1. Winter break shall be from 27.12.2025 to 11.01.2026.

2. Enhanced Remuneration of Evaluation / paper setting (except Conduct) etc. shall be paid from current session.

It has been conveyed to the concerned authorities that due care must be taken in the future to avoid any overlap between vacations and examinations.

With regard to the issue of remuneration, the matter is still under process and may take a few more days to reach finality.

However, upon our insistence that the revised remuneration be implemented from December 2025, the concerned authorities have assured that it shall be implemented for evaluation-related work from the current session, i.e., December 2025, and for the conduct of examinations from May 2026 onwards.

Detailed information will be shared as soon as the proceedings are formally signed.
