Extension of Last Date to apply for Permission
For existing Water Tankers and Power Operated Drilling Rigs and Users extracting more than 300 and up to 1,500 cubic meters per month
1. “Punjab Groundwater Extraction and Conservation Directions, 2023” have come into force from 1st February, 2023. All existing non-Exempt Groundwater Users are required pay Groundwater Extraction Charges from 1st February, 2023 irrespective of the date when User applies for permission.
2. For existing Users extracting more than 300 and up to 1,500 cubic meters per month, the last date to apply for permission is extended to 30th June, 2024.
3. For existing Water Tankers and Power Operated Drilling Rigs, the last date to apply for permission is extended to 30th June, 2024.
4. Late applications shall attract Non-compliance charges.
