A delegation of 30 officers of Punjab Government explored the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC), Chandigarh as part of their training conducted by MGSIPA. During the visit, they were briefed on various smart solutions implemented under the Smart City Mission, including real-time monitoring of traffic, public safety, waste management and environmental sustainability. The visit aimed to showcase smart city initiatives and advanced urban governance mechanisms implemented through ICCC. The officials were given insights into real-time monitoring, traffic management, emergency response systems and data-driven decision-making processes that enhance city administration and public services.

This visit provided the Cambodian delegation with a practical understanding of how smart city technologies can improve governance efficiency. The interaction is expected to support them in adopting similar strategies in their country, strengthening urban planning, public service delivery and overall governance frameworks.

Chandigarh Smart City Advisory Forum held its 24th meeting under the chairmanship of MP Sh. Manish Tewari to review key development projects. Discussions focused on the 24x7 water supply project in Manimajra, the smooth functioning of the Integrated Command & Control Centre (ICCC), and the need for strong cybersecurity. Officials were also directed to conduct a cost-benefit analysis of all projects before Chandigarh Smart City Limited (CSCL) winds up. Financial planning and smooth transitions of ongoing projects to other departments were also key points of discussion. The meeting reaffirmed the commitment to improving city infrastructure, ensuring better services and enhancing digital security.
