Our first prototype comprehensive village project was started in Village Kharoudi in 1999 and completed in 2001. When Honorable Dr. APJ ABDUL KALAM, ex President of India visited this village in 2003, he stated that he has not seen a similar type of comprehensive village development in India. of Punjab has started somewhat similar but not totally comprehensive projects with an aid from the world bank.
