Rana Haveli Manimajra

at Village Manimajra Tehsil Kharar in Ambala district to look after his Jagir at Bhabhat Estate. It took four years to build the Haveli by the skilled masons called from Lahore. Stones and bricks made in personally owned brick-kiln were used in the walls. The main walls are about four feet wide. The main entrance gate is 15 feet high and 10 feet wide, which was made by skilled carpenters in six months. A well was dug out in the year 1950 to regulate the water supply to Rana Haveli by lifting the water with the help of an engine. Rana Haveli was the first in the area to receive electricity supply during the year 1953. A kitchen used to run 24 hours in Rana Haveli to provide food to the poor people. Another separate small kitchen was also there to prepare and provide meals for the dogs. Some space was also provided in Rana Haveli to government free of cost to run a Post Office in 50's. Rana Haveli is spread over on area of about one acre. At Present Kanwar Devinder Singh along-with his son Kanwar Maninder Singh, Kanwarani Sunita Devi (W/O Late Kanwar Mohinder Singh) along-with her daughter Bebu, Kanwar Rajinder Singh along-with his son Kanwar Bhanu Pratap Singh and other family members of 6th and 7th generations of Rana Family live in Rana Haveli at Manimajra.
