On the occasion of World Environment Day, PIU Hisar under NHAI Regional Office Chandigarh carried out a plantation drive within the Right of Way (ROW) of the Rohtak–Hisar Section of NH-09, near Hisar Cantt, approximately 6.5 km ahead of Ramayana Toll Plaza towards Hisar.

Four-Lane Connectivity | Jalandhar to Punjab–J&K Border (NH-44)
The Jalandhar- Pathankot- J&K border stretch of NH-44 stands as one of North India’s most vital strategic and economic corridors, strengthening connectivity between Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.
The upgraded four-to-six-lane highway ensures seamless all-weather mobility for the Indian Armed Forces, enabling faster movement of troops, equipment and critical supplies to border regions.
Enhanced connectivity is also supporting agricultural trade by enabling quicker transportation of Punjab’s produce and J&K’s premium products such as apples, saffron and dry fruits with reduced transit losses.
Through projects like these, NHAI continues its commitment towards building world-class infrastructure that strengthens national connectivity.
